Adventures In Wood, Ltd.Craftsman handrail shown is finished in our "Dark Chocolate" custom dye spray stain which eliminates blotching produced by wipe on stains, finish is a catalyzed clear lacquer in matte sheen for that "hand rubbed look", wood specie is eastern hard maple for handrail, newel post, wall caps and wall rail. Featured on a custom "Capped style knee wall and 1/2 at walls. Balusters are in satin black and hammered.

Rod and ForgeCustom rail made from reclaimed ski lift cable. This client came to us with an idea and we were told by many it could not be done, including other professionals and the supplier. We were determined and those kind of comments just fueled the fire. Not only did we succeed but added small details, such as the capped ends, that complimented the overall project, which exceeded the clients expectation!
Adventures In Wood, Ltd.A recent stair renovation upgrade from the 90's era to the latest in design. Hard maple newels,handrail and treads with white painted skirt boards,risers, knee wall and trim finished off with our gothic plain and diamond hammered solid iron balusters with shoes.
| SPIRAL ARCHITECTS |The original wrought iron railing was discovered during the demolition phase of the project, having been encased with wood studs and plaster during earlier remodeling. Additionally, the width of the opening through the wall had been narrowed by removing the arch, and the concrete floor was hidden under a layer of modern saltillo tile.
The arch was rebuilt, and anchored to the cast-in-place concrete beam that still spanned the entirety of the opening, the railing was cleaned, and the concrete floor and stair refinished by a local expert in the trade.
