Their creative legacy inspired others, and as young teenagers, Don’s sons, John and Todd Nanke, started working in construction under their father and Uncle Howard, learning every facet of the building industry from masonry to finish carpentry and design. Today, John, Nanke Signature Group Owner and General Contractor, and Todd, its Chief Architectural Designer, carry on Don and Howard’s legacy, upholding the reputation of an elite, custom luxury home building partnership that can accomplish the otherwise deemed impossible. In 2014, John’s son, Jared Nanke, became the fourth generation of Nanke Signature Group, ushering a fresh perspective to an already diverse and creative team as its Creative Director. Acquiring partial ownership in 2015, it’s been Jared’s greatest ambition to grow and diversify the company to better serve and care for the needs of their admired and respected clientele.

This was our first experience building a new custom home and we were looking for someone that had unique ideas and out of the box solutions. After interviewing several builders, we picked the Nanke Signature Group. One thing you should realize is you are entering into a marriage that will be ending in hopefully an amicable divorce where you end up with the kid (your house). So, having someone you can work with and at times agree to disagree with is critical to successfully completing the building of a home. It is a huge financial commitment that requires a ton of endless decisions to be made and Nanke’s team was always accessible and helpful with assisting us in making the right choices. Overall, working with the Nanke Signature Group was a positive experience. They deliver a high-quality home (which is most important) and worked well with us to meet our wishes.

Be very cautious before hiring this firm. Being from out of state I found Nanke on the internet and was drawn to them by a picture of a home they built on their website and although they had only a few ratings, they were all very high. I was looking for a Scottsdale builder which they professed to be - I later discovered they are out of Prescott which is two hours away. I hired them November 2018 to build my home in the Scottsdale area. I was promised construction would be finished in 2019... It wasn't by a long-shot. When I still did not have finalized architectural plans six months after hiring them I realized it would be well into 2020 before construction would be finished. What was puzzling was that I found a interior plan I like and handed it to them and selected an exterior design from their OWN website and asked them to meld the two together. Well... this proved to be an impossible task for them. The architectural plans I received were very low tech and very hard to follow, especially when it came to the exterior. I terminated the relationship, after months of patience, and wish I never contacted them. My new contractor is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Nanke. I only wish I found them at the outset.

My husband and I just finished our new home in Prescott, AZ, and we are so grateful we chose Nanke Signature Group to design and build our home. They were by far the most professional team that we met with, and exceeded our expectations on every level. We've built custom homes in the past, but this was by far the best experience. We were always aware of where we were with our budget, and provided with multiple options to help us save costs, without sacrificing quality. We moved into our new 2200sf custom home (designed by a third party) in October 2016. We chose NSG to construct this home due to their long and good track record in Prescott, AZ . Given our prior experience dealing with contractors it was important that we engage with someone that could do the job and that we could trust. John and his people rank high on integrity and are very competent at what they do. For those reasons alone we recommend NSG. No project goes perfectly and problems must be solved along the way. John did a good job of thinking of solutions during construction. Our home was completed on time despite an aggressive 10-month deadline. The Company has a small but talented employee base, most of whom play a critical role in the actual construction (not just supervision). NSG has good relationships with a very qualified sub-contractor base that meets their standards. That said, there was a shortage of subs for certain trades that did slow the project and required extra supervision, but overall the sub support was good. There are many decisions that need to be made during construction. We were able to visit the site almost daily and found that to be a good approach as we fielded many questions while on site that may not have been asked otherwise. Now that we are in our beautiful new home we are still engaged with NSG as they make the inevitable post construction tweaks and fixes. It is a relatively short list, but they have been very diligent on follow-up items and are focused on making sure that things are finished to our satisfaction.

Nanke Signature Group is a premier custom home builder. There are lots of General contractors that can build a house, but if are wanting to build a quality home, these are the folks for you. Building with quality and integrity in the Prescott area for decades, trust them to make your dream home a reality. I have seem several homes they have built that no one else could have handled the complex building designs and been able to find the proper solution for difficult obstacles that came up during the construction process.

My wife and I engaged John Nanke, Nanke Signature Group, to build our home in Hassayampa, Prescott, Arizona. Prior to this big decision we interviewed a number of builders and decided to go with Nanke Signature group due to the quality of homes he had previously constructed, the input from past clients and our overall evaluation that he was an outstanding and reputable builder of custom homes. We could not have been any happier. Our construction and his commitments to the completion of our home could not have been better. In addition, we found his employees and the contractors he utilized during the course of our 22 month construction to be highly professional and a pleasure to work with. Mr. Nanke is a man of his word who takes great pride in his work and he worked with us every step of the way to ensure quality construction within our budget. I cannot recommend Nanke Signature Group any higher than to state we would go back to him again should we ever build another home. He is a good man and a tremendous custom home builder.
