“We worked with Parkyn Design on our new home build. Soon after our architectural plans were done, we got Tania Parkyn and her team involved in the process. This timing was paramount to them understanding our big vision. Three things stand out from our work with Parkyn Design. First, one of the biggest strengths Tania demonstrated was her ability to really listen and understand what we wanted. She really did hear everything we said: our ideas, our dreams, our likes, our dislikes. We saw proof of this in the end results when our home seemed to fit us like a glove. Second, Tania’s experience ensured that our home would be timeless, yet incredibly unique and personal to us. Because Parkyn Design is current with trends and ahead of the curve on what’s coming, we were introduced to new products and materials which made the choices for everything both practical and leading edge. Finally, as first time homebuilders, the process of building, designing and decorating a home can be very intimidating. Parkyn Design made this process fun and enjoyable. “Terrific from start to finish! HFD was able to able to update our tired kitchen and family room. Made it beautiful as well as functional (I Love to cook and finally have a kitchen that "works"!) Lots of options in terms of pricing - Alicia always presented 3-4 possibilities for each piece we bought that covered a range in pricing. She was professional and knowledgeable and frankly easy to communicate with. She is connected with some terrific suppliers - we got the stone that everyone else wanted!!!! She has great vision and can make it happen!”

“I would like to thank you for taking the time to help us work through room by room in our new home. Alex was reliable and completed designs, changes, and incorporated our suggestions efficiently. Some of the projects we started with were paint colors, room decoration ideas, wall décor and art placement. Alex suggested painting the space/wall above our mantel to create the illusion of a more grand fireplace and we love it! We also purchased a large mural to go our dining room wall as suggested and guests have complimented the artwork. We then decided to take on the kitchen full gut renovation during the Christmas season. Alex was available to do home visits, answer questions despite it being a very busy time of year. Alex provided us with a number of samples and worked within the types of cabinets we were willing to purchase due to budget. The highlights of our kitchen include a custom oak rangehood, oak open shelving in our island, copper lighting and accents, a 11 foot island and many cabinets to store all of our kitchen items. We worked with Alex to choose fixtures that would work and her honest opinion left us with a glamorous kitchen design! Looking forward to moving into the other rooms to choose wall art, accent walls, and hearing Alex’s suggestions to make our home even more beautiful.”

“Gabriele has worked on two different projects in my home. She was always punctual for our meetings and she delivered products on schedule. She gave great advice regarding painting, window and floor coverings. Together we selected furniture, fabric coverings and accessories for my home. Gabriele had a very good sense of what I was looking for and did not try to suggest changes that would not suit my lifestyle. She always worked within my budget. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Gabriele. She is very professional and so excited to see her customers happy with the completed project. I recently contacted Gabriele to ask about a paint colour that had been used in my home in the past. She returned my call immediately and was pleased to answer my questions. “Darlene has again brought her expertise and professionalism to our home. When we decided to completely renovate our kitchen and two full bathrooms, Darlene spent many hours putting together different proposals and layouts until just the right ones were found. Our contractor was recommended by Darlene and they worked together to ensure that all work was completed to everyone's satisfaction. The project was kept to budget, other than one unexpected cost and the timelines of the project were good. Darlene kept in touch throughout the project and visited on-site to ensure everything was going smoothly. The kitchen is just what we envisioned and both bathrooms, especially the en-suite bathroom, are perfect. My husband and I are totally happy with all the decisions made and how well Darlene was able to create the look that we wanted.”

“Sarah did an amazing job helping us with our basement renovation. We have a small space with some constraints from the original construction of the house, and Sarah nonetheless managed to create a bright and open space that doesn't feel like a basement at all. She also gave us different options at various price points for furniture, and when we wanted some modifications, she quickly turned those around and met ours needs perfectly. If we ever have another home renovation project, we'd absolutely go back to Sarah for our design needs.”
