“Robert M. Cain was the architect for my home, completed in 2009. Photos are elsewhere on this site. Robert M. Cain (Bob) is a brilliant designer and superlative master of construction oversight. As the project began, he listened carefully to us and perfectly and seamlessly incorporated our desires into the house. The building is both beautiful and extremely comfortable. It is a LEED Platinum Home. It has many high performance features such as solar panels and geothermal heat pumps. Passive solar concepts are inherent in the design and allow us the be comfortable much of the year without heating or air conditioning. It has many windows and feels like it is in a forest, although the location is urban. It is a calm and cheerful house. Working with Bob and his staff was a completely delightful experience; it was satisfying in every way. Mary B.”

“My wife and I have worked with Tom Rogers multiple times in the past. In particular, he designed a retirement home for us several years ago. More recently Tom designed and modified a garage, breezeway and merged into the main dweling for us. This created multiple challenges due to merging two structures (detached garage to a main dwelling including a breezeway), all with different roof pitches. In working with us, Tom not only designed the structures, he prepared graphical 3D views before construction and how the look would be during various times of the day, aka, sun movement. In the final design, Tom provided detailed construction drawings that was applauded by the contractors used. “My wife and I recently converted our one-story 1930’s bungalow into a two-story modern prairie. From inception to completion, from construction to finishes, through all the details of building a house, we didn’t make a better or more important decision than selecting Jordache Avery as our architect. Jordache has several characteristics that distinguish him as an architect. First of all, he is attentive. When Jordache came to discuss the project for the first time we slowly walked through our house and described our overarching aspirations for the project: big windows and lots of light, two distinct but joined living spaces, modern architecture that would fit into the neighborhood… Second of all, he has vision. Two weeks later Jordache returned with renderings that not only incorporated all of our feedback but exceeded our wildest expectations. We can do that!?!? To this house!?!?
