She worked diligently with us every step of this project because we did not know what we want, what would be appropriate for our climate zone and our particular location. She was very patient, understanding and kind. We appreciated that! She explained thoroughly the ins and outs of this project. We were particularly impressed with her knowlege of plants and flowers, it was fun to work with her. Our front yard has been outgrowing and was not taken care of for years. Mrs. Anjali turned it into a beautiful shrubs and flower bed. She took out some old bushes and trees, kept our favorite Japanese maple (which one couldn't even see) and incorporated it into her design. And we loved the choice of shrubs and flowers she made! One more thing to add --- she managed to stay on budget! She is a very resourceful designer.”

“Description Of Work: The Narrow Lane, through Ron Goode, it's owner/operator and his team, performed various services for us, including 3 new paver walkways with cobblestone lining them, a new driveway, new sod in the front, new side and back lawns, new plantings, new retaining walls, two tree removals, large overgrown shrub removals, planting of several new trees and other plants, as well as fertilizing, leaf removal/Spring cleanup and some general landscape maintenance. Comments: It went great! Our main design and construction work required every part of our yard to be torn up, excavated, or otherwise touched with a shovel, mini-excavator, or other tool/piece of machinery and Ron worked hard to ensure that the disruptions to my family were minimal. He also listened to each request, made recommendations based on our budget, worked hard to get the estimate within our budget, and has produced a product that every neighbor has complemented! We have been very happy with results of the design which included a large amount of hardscape work (patio, steps, walkways), as well as many plants. Ms. Pantoja, head architect, worked with us closely to develop the plans, taking into consideration our wants, desires, and budget. She accompanied us to pick out the plants, and she was onsite for much of the hardscape work. We would recommend bp design highly.”

“Rob and his team were at my home over the course of two seasons, installing an incredible landscape in both the front and back of my property. It's not often you can say it was a pleasure having a work crew at your house, but my boys, my dog and I all enjoyed having Gilmore Landscape Architecture on site. They are intelligent, kind, respectful, creative and talented individuals. The exterior of my home was completely transformed; Rob's expertise in terrain and site planning was fundamental to creating a stunning final result. He made sense of a plot that was uneven and mostly covered in cracked pavement. “We hired Melissa to draw up landscaping plans for a garage re-build project. We needed plans for the hardscaping of new stairs and walkways leading from the street and garage to our house, as well as a landscaping/ planting plan. Melissa took on a difficult project, as we are on a hill with complicated grading issues. She was totally up for the task! She developed a plan, beautiful drawings, a budget outline, and contractor bid documents all within a short time frame, as we were late to realize the scope of what we needed. She met with us and explained everything. She is a true professional and a very nice person to work with. She always responded promptly to any extra requests, like dealing with the city of Boston Public Works Department about a new-curb cut application. FYI, our project took about a year to get permit approval in Boston, which is ridiculous, but unfortunately not unusual. We now expect to start the demolition this August 2017, so that's why there are no images. I will upload some once the landscaping is done. I whole-heartedly recommend M. A. Desjardins Landscape Architecture! You are definitely getting your money's worth if you hire Melissa. I am updating my review posted June 2016. The project was finally completed this spring, 2018, after many delays (not due to Melissa, as she was not contracted to do project management). An important note to add was Melissa's level-head and commitment through it all. After the concrete pourers did not follow the driveway plans and missed the stone paving details that were required through the City's Planning office, Melissa suggested we hold off on sawcutting and removing those concrete sections, which may have compromised the remainder of the concrete, until the Building Inspection came to review it. In the end, we were not required to remove the concrete, which saved us time and money by not needing to install that stone paving detail. I am also finally posting some pictures!”
