Downsizing landed us in one of those developments. Located at the bottom of a hill with three homes looking directly onto our patio, we had absolutely no privacy. Ken, our landscape designer from Room to Grow, changed our yard from a rectangle piece of grass into a stunning sanctuary of privacy. Ken's resourcefulness proved invaluable as he managed sub-contractors and post-pandemic glitches in availability of materials. He committed to a timeline, and stuck to it. By weaving together several gardens, placing strategic screens which provided the necessary focal points, he was able to design gardens with year-round interest, color, movement and texture throughout. It is beautiful! Room to Grow has proven to be trustworthy, dependable and creative. I have recommended them to our family and friends. Such a stellar business!”

“The initial project was to have a French drain installed to remove excess water from my property. I met with several contractors, some before and some after my appointment with Chris Sheer from Father Nature. Once I met Chris, I realized he set the benchmark for the other contractors to meet or exceed. I was very impressed by Chris for several reasons: he stood out as a knowledgeable professional who provided me with the information I need to make an informed decision; he was very thorough and prompt in responding to my questions about the installation process and material selection; and he always showed up on time for every appointment. I was so pleased with the customer service and quality of work I received from Chris and his team that I increased my initial project from installing a French drain to include a large patio extension, an extensive seating wall, and a flagstone walkway. “The service provided by Malone's Landscaping was just what we were looking for. Jim came out the day after I called to take measurements and sketch some ideas. His office created plans off of the ideas I had presented and was back to me within the week with drawings. They started the project under John's watchful eye, with Jim always checking to give final approval. The project took a little longer then anticipated due to weather through the winter but, was completed in time for a great party for everyone to enjoy. I get so many complements on our space now that everyone wants to take a picture of it. We have enjoyed many football games and family events with our new fireplace and seating area! Thank you Malone's!”

“Baxter and team completely revamped our yard last summer. They are nothing short of incredible. We did a complete overhaul of our yard, taking it down to dirt. The plan was beautiful and it has taken complete form. We have started to see late Spring bring the plants to life and their growth is beautiful. Our plan consisted of design hardscapes, trellis, sod, natural shrubbery, a massive laurel , and two levels of fence. We live in Wallingford and wanted our yard to blend into our surroundings while staying true to our aesthetic. They found the perfect balance. Baxter is dedicated to the project and will see it through completion. It is now typical for passerby’s to stop and ask who landscaped our yard- Baxter ears must be burning for the praise I sing. Hands down the best experience I have had yet with a large scale improvement project.”

“In 2010 I thought I needed a moat/ril but after digging and lining, it wasn't really coming together. I was given Plantswoman Design's number by someone I consulted with for the liner problem. At my first consultation I told her if my idea was just too harebrained to say so and I would fill it in, but luckily she liked the idea! It was a two year process, as I couldn't mentally handle the entire project at once. It is now 2 years post-planting and the garden looks fantastic. My backyard is my view and it is amazing 12 months of the year.”

“I hired Cambium to do a large clean-up of the front and back yard of my newly purchased home, which had become quite overgrown. I was so impressed with their communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of the plants and how they should be trimmed. Their staff was also extremely professional and polite. While they are not the cheapest, they know their stuff and it's worth every penny. They did a great job and my yard never looked better.
