“I have worked with CLC Landscape Design for the over 9 years. CLC is a fantastic family run business. The owner Rich Sr. is a NJ Licensed Landscape Architect and his son Rich Jr. has a masters in Landscape Design. They are leaders of a company that is passionate about creating beautiful landscapes. They have an experienced staff of craftsmen and horticulturalists. Which can tackle any size project and have a range of specialties including : deer resistant plantings, custom stone work, drainage and grading, etc.... We have successfully collaborated on numerous awarding winning projects and I would recommend their work.”

“Working with Eustacia from ELM Garden Design was a distinct pleasure. Eustacia's professional training in, and knowledge of, landscape design combined with her knowledge of every type of plant and tree conducive to the geographic location of the project in Sullivan County, NY, made for a successful collaboration between homeowner and contractor. Eustacia and her partner Paul (a master craftsman in his own right with stonework and masonry, and all things requiring building and tools!) were always accessible and responsive. They truly were "hands-on", from selecting specimens from a nursery that met their high expectations to doing and/or supervising the actual plantings. Prior to using ELM, I had used other landscapers whose work was acceptable & functional but in retrospect paled in comparison both as to imagination and the ability to work in an environment in which the elements of nature needed to be considered and incorporated. ELM basically took over a landscape design that was functional but lacked imagination. By the time we sold the house, one of the top selling points were the beautiful plantings and gardens, along with certain stonework, created and maintained by them. Eustacia's design vision also is very keen, but she was also a good listener as to what as homeowners we wanted and envisioned, which she was able to articulate both in a design plan and then in the finished project. And on top, Eustacia and Paul are "good people"; a pleasure to have worked with them for so many years. The project date listed is an estimate of when we began, as the length stretched over 5 or more years, and involved annually adding additional elements as we began to see how certain aspects of the project developed and matured (which accounts for the wide range of project cost, which was spread over a number of years, the total closer to the lower end of the scale stated). We worked with them continuously until we sold the property. I give them the highest recommendation.”

“MasterPlan provided me with a complete landscape design for my backyard patio, pool area and deck. From the time Josh and I first met to discuss the project through the end of the construction, Josh was nothing but professional, knowledgeable and accessible. Josh provided a state of the art 3D digital proposal for my patio, deck and pool area and the final product exceeded my expectations. He oversaw all aspects of the project including obtaining the architectural drawings, filing for permits, attending a variance hearing and supervising the multiple subcontractors on the project. Josh was available for any questions or concerns that arose and checked in with me frequently for my feedback and to keep me up to date with scheduling. Josh has a welcome attention to detail and pointed out small changes that made a big difference. The final product is an impressive and welcoming backyard oasis that my family and friends will enjoy for many years. I have used designers and subcontractors on multiple occasions and this has been , by far, my best experience. I highly recommend Josh and MasterPlan to anyone considering an outdoor project. “Greg at VisionScape Design was recommended to me by my landscaper to help design a pool for my backyard, complete with landscaping, pool patio, etc. The project was somewhat challenging, because my backyard is sloped. Greg's design shows fencing, a walkway with steps from the driveway and deck to the pool, as well as steps and a walkway from a covered patio. There will also be a whirlpool on a lower deck, overlooking the pool. Greg's design was perfect, way above what I expected. But what really blew me away was the way he presented the plans. It included a construction plan, a beautiful planting schematic in color with all plants specified, numerous color "photos" showing what the final design will look like from many angles, as well as a video as if you were walking to the pool, with additional perspectives and even aerial views, and views at night. Greg went way above and beyond and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend Greg and VisionScape Design!”

“I enjoy doing my own gardening, but needed help creating a cohesive design for my 1-acre lawn. Susan of The Crafted Garden evaluated my property, listened to my ideas, and then created a landscape design that could be implemented in stages. She provided drawings, including transparencies over pictures of our existing garden to help us envision the change. She consulted us at each stage, telling us what to expect in costs of labor and plant material. With Susan's crew, we began in Fall '13, altering the site's hard scape, then fine-tuned the beds and planted this spring, completing the first and largest phase of the work. Susan reoriented the approach to our home, widened beds, and created a planting scheme that tied the different areas together, incorporating native species that provide good habitats for birds. Susan and her crew were prompt, worked very quickly, and left the site clean. They accomplished in two weekends what would have taken me 6 months. Susan provided information about what we needed to do to keep our plants healthy -- watering schedules, mulch, etc. it has been exciting to see the the plants flourish and to envision the garden's continuing maturity. (I have inadequate pictures taken with my phone, but will post pictures at another date.) We had a positive experience and I learned a great deal about the process. When we began, I was focused on the plants to be chosen. But it was Susan's careful preparation -- curving a walk here, arcing a bed there -- that showcased our home's best features, and set the stage for a garden that offers us color and lovely scent throughout the seasons. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Susan as a creative and knowledgeable partner.”
