“Susan did a great job redesigning the landscaping and entrance to the front of our home. Her new layout for the front walkway is brilliant. Her choice of materials for the deck railing and paving are superb. The shrubs and plants are lovely. We particularly like that they bloom at different times of the year.”

The owner Rich Sr. is a NJ Licensed Landscape Architect and his son Rich Jr. has a masters in Landscape Design. They are leaders of a company that is passionate about creating beautiful landscapes. They have an experienced staff of craftsmen and horticulturalists. Which can tackle any size project and have a range of specialties including : deer resistant plantings, custom stone work, drainage and grading, etc.... We have successfully collaborated on numerous awarding winning projects and I would recommend their work.”

“Robert Welsh of Westover Landscape has a wonderful sense of aesthetics, and created a garden design for us that is absolutely beautiful. His designs are not the usual "bushes lined up against the house" and he thought about how the garden changes through the season, which means every month brings a new color and some lovely surprises. His staff are terrific, very professional and easy to work with. Every subcontractor Robert brought in on this job also met the same high standards. We are very happy with our gorgeous garden.”

“Bryan Quinn of One Nature advised me on the planning and design of a wetland improvement project funded through the Natural Resources Conservation Service involving development of two ponds and restoration of native habitats within the surrounding areas comprising about 15 acres.. After evaluating site conditions and laying out an overall conceptual plan for habitat zones, nature trails and observation points, he prepared a detailed plan and specs for planting groves of trees, site maintenance and circulation for areas immediately surrounding the ponds as well as supervision of site work. The work went quickly, on schedule and Mr. Quinn was very professional, generous with time and paid attention to detail, and within budget.”

“Lisa, owner of Mierop Design, is an amazingly talented landscape designer. In 2003, we decided to tackle our lackluster yard. After seeing the results of Lisa Mierop’s designs from friends and neighbors we asked her to view our property and show us a plan. The plans Lisa drew up for the front and back that blew us away. Lisa showed us we can add curves, height, and dimension. She incorporated existing foliage, and added in an artistic blend of flowers, plants, and trees; as well as fencing and hardscaping. Our yard receives nonstop compliments from neighbors and people walking and driving by. For the past several years, as a board member of Van Vleck House & Gardens in Montclair, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Lisa on professional level. Lisa has been the keynote speaker for the 2014 Roses to Rock Garden Tour. In 2014 she kicked off our series “Landscape by the Yard,” offering four practical workshops for the home gardener. She continues to support Van Vleck House & Gardens by sharing her expertise with all that attend the workshops. Not only is Lisa a professional, she understands the best plants for your needs. She's passionate about what she does, and it shows in her work.”
