Borst Landscape & Design is a nationally-recognized, award-winning, full-service landscape design company, offering design/build, garden design & maintenance, organic lawn care, landscape maintenance, and commercial snow removal services. Founder and President, Mark C. Borst, established the business in Wyckoff in 1989 on a part-time basis while earning his degrees in Landscape Architecture and Ornamental Horticulture. Borst Landscape & Design became a full-time operation in 1993, and in 1995, the Organic program was introduced, providing a complete lawn care program for his clients. Over time, the company earned the reputation as the best landscaping company in Bergen County, New Jersey. As the client base expanded, so did Mark’s vision to provide his clients with a full-service landscape company. With the introduction of the tree & shrub program and the continued growth of the design/build division, a new facility was purchased in Allendale, New Jersey in the fall of 2002. With the continued growth of landscape services and the introduction of Borst Organic “The Science of Nature” in 2007, Borst Landscape & Design has become a leading full-service landscaping company in northern New Jersey.

These guys are the best!! Karl and his team are super professional and knowledgeable. They helped me pick the right plants to accompany the style of my home and existing landscaping. Installation was fast and they were accommodating to any on-the-spot changes needed to be made. A special thank you to Hector. I even hired them to do my landscape lighting since I was so pleased with the job they did with the plants. Thank you Team Borst!

We have been using Borst for many years for our plantings and hardscaping but made the decision to go all in with the maintenance as well a couple years ago. Our lawn had so many bald areas it was embarrassing. I challenged Borst to make my lawn the envy of the neighborhood and I’m happy to report they delivered ahead of schedule. Thank you Borst.

Just wanted to give kudos to Karl Wahlberg and his great crew (Hector, Deyvi and Domi) who worked so hard and diligently installing plantings in the most grueling temperatures on Monday. Karl had designed and selected beautiful new plantings for our front yard. He designed it so that we were able to use several of the existing shrubs which made the front bed look so well established. We are very impressed with the professionalism and quality of workers in the Borst organization.

As the owner of a property with several large oak trees and lots is shade, I struggled for years trying to find my way to a full, lush lawn. Where many before have failed, Borst has succeeded through a combination of their fertilizing program, along with aeration and seeding. Albert takes great pride in his work, and Bob’s recommendations are spot on. Thanks to them my lawn looks fantastic and is getting lots of compliments from neighbors and passing dog-walkers. We wanted to transform our plain backyard but didn't know where to start. After meeting with several landscape companies we decided on going with Borst, and what a good decision it was. Our designer and project lead, Dave was really exceptional. He created a design that exceeded our expectations and then led the project through to completion. The install team treated our house like it was their own. As you can tell by now we are a very satisfied Borst customer.

We have used Borst Landscaping for many years for projects such as new front paver walkway, irrigation and drainage and new plantings. In 2019 we transferred our lawn maintenance as well so Borst takes care of all our landscaping and hardscaping needs. From owner Mark and the entire team it has always been a pleasure to deal with Borst and we are extremely satisfied with their work.

We hired Borst to transform our backyard incorporating a pondless water feature in full view of our outdoor patio. The entire team from Dave Beasley to the installation crew were the epitome of professional. The months long project was supervised by Borst pro's who executed the project according to specs. When there was a hiccup in plans, Dave stepped in to rectify or change the outcome. The project was delivered within the projected and expected overages in cost. To this day, the end of 2019, Borst honors the terms of their contract for warranty of services. We continue to utilize Borst for seasonal maintenance of shrub, bush and tree care. Every employee is respectful toward us, the customer, while showing great care for the landscape surroundings. We highly recommend Borst for all landscaping needs.

I hired Borst Landscaping for their organic tick and mosquito treatment for my property. Their guys were professional and courteous and the results were fantastic.
