We arrived at a final design through a collaborative approach where Mark listened to our aesthetic and functional preferences, and successfully incorporated them into the plan. Our small yard presented some unique challenges that Mark was able to help us navigate through. We would describe Mark as being easy to work with, very talented, and professional in his approach. “We worked with Homegrown Organics on landscaping our back yard. They had great ideas for paths, raised beds, and plantings. And they had several options for different sizes and costs for the project. We had one patio expanded with brickwork, a stone retaining wall patched up, a raised bed built, mulching to keep the weeds under control, and some beautiful plantings with an automatic drip irrigation system to make it through the dry summers without using too much water. Now instead of feeling like a difficult to maintain project, our backyard feels like a natural outdoor room.”

“In 2010 I thought I needed a moat/ril but after digging and lining, it wasn't really coming together. I was given Plantswoman Design's number by someone I consulted with for the liner problem. At my first consultation I told her if my idea was just too harebrained to say so and I would fill it in, but luckily she liked the idea! It was a two year process, as I couldn't mentally handle the entire project at once. It is now 2 years post-planting and the garden looks fantastic. My backyard is my view and it is amazing 12 months of the year.”
