I interviewed several home improvement companies in the northern Virginia area; none matched the knowledge of product information and costs of construction for completely renovating my kitchen. Architectural renditions were exact to specifications;no last-minute changes had to be made. “After consulting with three separate general contractors, we chose to work with the team at Advice Homes because they were able to relate to my wife and I unlike the other two contractors. From the first meeting Chris was friendly and did not give any high pressure sales approaches that we despise. We had a pretty good idea of what our vision was for our kitchen renovation. The design team took some pictures we gave them of various projects we found online and incorporated them into our own thoughts. We could not imagine that they could fit those ideas into a real life design the way they did. The construction of a kitchen is stressful if you like to cook daily. The laborers that worked on the kitchen were very mindful and understanding of our concerns for the continued use of our kitchen. Chris outlined days that we would be without the use of our stove, sink and prep area. This made it easy for us to plan. My wife found this easy and relieved her stress. Naturally this made me happy and I was thankful for the planning and heads up. The communication throughout the project was key to the overall success we felt with choosing this company. The overall project was finished in a reasonable time. There were some delays for a few furnishings but this was foreseen by Chris and we understood given the origin of the products. The quality was checked over in detail by the foreman and finally by Chris. To say that what was shown in drawings and renderings is an understatement. Everything came together and we were elated to have the finish product exactly what we desired.”

“I love my new tub and tile. I am likely to hire this company again for my Kitchen remodel after a few other higher priority jobs are done. Cemil and Henry took very good care of us and setting up the job was easy. A few notes about the kind of work asked for. We needed to replace tub, tile and fix plaster damage on the first floor that was directly under a hole in the old tub. Kitchen and Bath Shop solved these issues and the work was wonderful. The workers gave good expectations on when they would arrive on site. They were very respectful and friendly. They took very good care to protect my home from scuffs. There were maybe two small places where grout/plaster ended up in an unexpected place (near my bathroom doorknob and a small splat on my toilet bowl) however I probably just need a putty knife to sand down remove that. No remodel goes perfectly, there was a snafu with the supplier that ended up with us installing a different color accent tile than originally planned. There was also a delay in getting tile, but in the days of Covid, we were prepared for that. However, the company gave us a discount and did not charge for the plaster repair, which more than made up for the alteration. The more I look at the finished product, the more I am happier with the result. Work took seven days to complete, due to a delay in receiving tile. Cemil did mention that it could be up to two weeks to finish the job, so he set realistic expectations. The workers were very professional. And my family can shower like we live in a hotel.”
