“We have used Winn Design on two different occasions. The first, in 2007, was a project to replace the exterior doors, windows, and siding of our 1969 ranch house. As part of the project, we added a natural wood portico to the front entrance. More than 5 years later we still have people stop to take pictures and ask us who has done the construction. In 2010 we contracted again with Winn to extend and completely remodel our kitchen. As this was our first experience with a project of this size, the design process was very daunting. However, Winn patiently worked with us over a few months through many revisions until we had a design that fit our needs and budget. During construction we went on vacation and the project manager sent us pictures and summaries on almost a daily basis so that we could keep up with the progress of the project. As the different trades came to the project we were impressed by the quality of the subcontractors Winn used. Several trades mentioned that Winn was one of their favorite companies to work with. Happy and skilled subcontractors are also key to a successful project! Renovations can be very intimidating and stressful on a marriage. We are very grateful that Winn, through their professionalism and quality of work, made the process as pleasant and successful as we might have hoped for. Now, with more than 2 years behind us, we know that we made the right choice to use them. There are many contractor horror stories out there, but you won’t have one with Winn.”

“Synergy's attention to detail has been outstanding throughout the planning phase of our renovation. Synergy's design team exceeded our expectations and as demolition has now begun we eagerly await the construction phase. We have every confidence that Synergy's team will once again wow us. Update: Our Kitchen/Great Room renovation is complete and Synergy's design and construction teams absolutely blew us away with their attention to detail and customer service. To be fair, it is not possible to completely convey our level of satisfaction in a short review. When is the last time you worked with a team of professionals whose standards for excellence exceed your own? Without fail, when we would raise a potential issue with Synergy we would find out they had already noticed it and created a plan to address it. Think about that for a moment, not push back, not an attempt to avoid extra work by saying there is no issue. Instead, reassurance that they are holding themselves to a standard that is higher than your own. Simply put, that never happens. Yet with Synergy it is just the way they work. When their level of craftsmanship (which is nothing short of uniformly excellent) is married with Synergy's ability to design and deliver breathtaking spaces, the result redefines what renovating can and should be. We could not be more satisfied and impressed with our new Kitchen/Great Room. Synergy gets our highest possible recommendation on all facets of design and construction.”

As I work in their homes (photographing them for Bruce and Wilma) I constantly hear how easy they are to work with, how responsive they are to their clients' needs, and how completely satisfied they are with the whole experience of having the Bowers' firm do their project. “Construction & remodeling is a big business. There are many small & large companies competing in the field. What stand out about SB was 1- their estimates were very close to the actual cost, 2- they did the job on time & 3- they made no excuses like lots of others I have seen because they didn’t need to. Professional staff with great service. I do recommend them for anybody looking to do work on their homes.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Jean and Jeff of Southern Image Design Builders on a screened enclosure on my home. It wasn't just any screened enclosure - it was an A-frame design with a tower leading to a spiral staircase down to our first-floor. They were wonderful to work with -- on time, on budget, with many excellent suggestions on design features from Jean. I would hire them again and recommend them without hesitation.”

“We are in love with our new Stone Patio. It was such a pleasant experience working with Rosete Hardscapes. During our first meeting, Rafael Rosete understood what our needs were perfectly and he came up with an even better vision and design than what we had in mind, which completely sold us on the project. This made the quotation phase go much more smoothly. He also accompanied us while looking for Stone material and guided us expertly through the material selection process.The planning, project management and execution of the work was just flawless and very efficient. The crew had thought and planned every minor detail and had the correct tools and equipment for the tasks. It was a much bigger project than we had anticipated. The crew finished the project on time even after we added a few last minute requests. And they were always very professional and helpful while fulfilling the new requests. I would highly recommend these folks who are very skillful in what they do and humble and sincere in their service.”

“Very professional team starting from the sales representative to the installers. We went from an almost non-usable space because of the heat from the sun to a large outdoor space. This pergola is built to last with hardly any maintenance. Would definitely recommend Dream Design Construction.”

It was completed on budget within the timeline given. “TBS rebuilt our deck, added a screened in porch to the back of the house, and added a porch to the front of the house. They also repaired damage to the basement wall that was discovered during the construction project. TBS completed all the work using high quality material and craftsmanship. The railings on the deck used cabling to provide a clear view of Smith Mountain Lake and were topped with Trex boards to provide a smooth and long lasting surface. The back porch has provided a new and dramatic living area to the house; featuring a panoramic view of the lake and a soaring cathedral ceiling. Our neighbor commented that she had "porch envy" after spending some time on it. The front porch has given the house a much improved appearance and a much friendlier entrance to the house. This is the second project that TBS has completed for us, and they can be counted on for being easy to work with and for providing a high quality and funcional product.”
