“We hired Progress Street Builders (PSBs) to build us a custom home that would provide for the needs of a severely physically disabled child, expanding family, and a more modern decorating style, all on a strict budget. Our experience with every employee at PSBs is one that embodies the definition of excellent customer service. They skillfully guided us through designing floor plans and architecture with plenty of ideas and problem-solving guidance. They patiently waited on us to work through detailed decisions and took longer with us than a typical client to design and re-design detailed floor plans to suit our special needs and future goals for our home while at the same time helping stay in budget. We are pretty particular when it comes to interior selections, designs, and finishes. But PSBs made the selections process for every detail of the interior a fun process and we are so thrilled with the gorgeous results! We could have never thought through so many special details for a child in a wheel chair without their help and expertise. The PSBs team came up with so many unique and amazing ideas! We really love the results. No matter what challenges arose during the building process the PSBs team bent over backwards to make every detail turn out just the way we wanted it to. We highly recommend Progress Street Builders to anyone who is looking to build a custom home. “I highly recommend VMax, LLC for any construction project; whether it is building a home or doing a remodeling project. They are very knowledgeable of the construction business. They have good ideas but are very willing to listen to your thoughts. They are dependable; and meet their deadlines. You can rely on receiving an honest estimate. Their cost are reasonable; budgets are met and if there are changes they will discuss with you first - nothing is unknown. Their sub-contractors are professional and respectful. They have completed several remodeling jobs in my home. My kitchen and den were remodeled to open up an area that was previously part of my parents apartment. Part of the remodel included creating a home office for my business. They have also remodeled a bathroom in my home.”

Brian was by far the most knowledgeable, personable and professional person that I met with. He had an eye for detail and made intuitive recommendations that no one else had suggested. Our project manager, Jennifer was friendly, quick to respond and was in our home overseeing the work almost daily. “The Smith & Robertson team designed and built a custom house for us at Wintergreen VA. We started in March, 2012 and finished in January, 2013. We had a great experience designing and building, and are very pleased with the final product. Glenn and Ron are easy to work with and have a can-do attitude. The design was exactly what we wanted. They were able to put our dream home on paper and make it work. They were very creative on where to save money on the project, but also how to include some of the perks we really wanted. The sub-contractors they hired were professional and, for the most part, on time. The building supplies that S & R insisted on using were top-notch. Our "green rating", a big focus for S & R, is a big plus to our new home. We were able to stay within budget. We would highly recommend this wonderful team for design/build.”

“In the past we used a design/build company and did not feel that we had control over the process or the budget. When we reviewed the bill we found the mark-up was excessive, especially when sub-contractors were used for most of the work. This time around we chose to use Chad with Arlington Construction Mangement because of the ability to control expenses, choose the products used in building our addition and select our own sub-contractors. The ability to get several estimates and meet the subs for each trade beforehand made a huge difference in our experience. We completed our project 2 months earlier than predicted and were able to stay within budget. We ended up saving 28% from our lowest bid and we were able to use upgraded products along the way. Chad gave us great advice, support and knowledge to help us through our project. I know we would not have received the same personal service from any other builder. We would use Chad again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking into building.”

“Craftsman Construction provided us with a building experience that was easy and worry free. Jerry was very professional, honest and trustworthy. Whenever a problem became apparent within our project, he thoughtfully resolved the issue. He was patient with us when we decided to make an aesthetic changes, even after the specified work had been completed. But most importantly, Craftsman's quality is what keeps us coming back to Jerry. We will build another house with Craftsman when it is time to downsize. Timothy and Amy Nojaim I would like to continue my review of Craftsman Construction. It has now been 8 years since Jerry has built our home. We have temporarily moved overseas. We have continued using Jerry and Craftsman Construction to manage the upkeep and occasional repairs to our wonderful house, while we have been away.
