“B + O design studio coached us while designing our green forever home. They led us through the process of figuring out exactly what we wanted in our new home. They helped us to think through the space, flow, comfort, orientation, lot characteristics, native landscaping, etc. The end result was a home we love! We can't think of anything we would have done differently with the house or the process! Highly recommend!”

“We hired Mr. Herring to design a 5,000+ square foot home on the ICW. That project took place in 2000-2001. Mr. Herring had a unique capacity to "read our minds" as we moved along during the design stage such that the home became everything we wished for in our dreams. He was a fantastic on-the- spot architectural supervisor, holding the crew to the mission while gaining their respect along the way. The final product was fantastic. We were so pleased that we have had Mr. Herring design two additional homes for us since then. Thomas H van Arsdale”

“Michael Kersting architecture is marvelous on all counts. There are designer / architects, but Michael is a true artist able to work in any style, bring it to the twenty first centurry and impress a special flair. It is interesting when all the workers on a job say if they could they would have him design something for them as the designs have something very special. He is easy to work with, listens to you, helps guide you to a plan that fits you and yet pushes you to expansive visions. The staff are all very complimentary in skills and talent. They kept us out of potential trouble many times. As one who has been involved in many building projects I would say anyone considering anyone else in WIlmington as their archidect needs to reconsider and look more closely at Kersting architecure, the best in Wilmington and possibley the state. Unigue and truly creative designs with impressive followup and I rarely give recommendations.”

His first question to us was, "how do you want your house to feel?" And from that moment on he led us through a series of discussions that he used to create a design for our home and land that was more than we could have ever dreamed or imagined. We wanted it to feel like an old, well-loved farmhouse, a place of welcome refuge - where there was space for everyone but not cavernous - and we were starting with an empty field as the canvas. His attention to detail was so impressive - every single aspect of his design was drawn with great purpose.
