“My experience with Audrey Sato was outstanding. She truly is a talented architect who has both great vision and is detail oriented; making the process of designing and constructing my fitness studio a fun and seamless one. I appreciated that she kept in constant contact with me, and was very hands on from design through construction. I felt comfortable asking questions and giving input, and am was very satisfied with the results. Pictures of the studio can be found on Facebook under 'The Dailey Method Calabasas'. “I commissioned Magdalena to design a piece of exhibition furniture that would serve as a display case would include areas where visitors could sit. The exhibition focused on Frank Lloyd Wright and the Japanese print. Wright, an avid collector of Japanese prints had curated several exhibitions in the early twentieth century at the Chicago Art Institute which included benches and pedestals that he had designed specifically for the shows. So, I was looking for an important element for our exhibition -- a work of art itself -- that would capture some of Wright's design aesthetic. I was thrilled with Magdalena's design. I also appreciated all the time she gave to convey her ideas to the cabinet builder who realized her ideas. I sought Magdalena's advice on another exhibition element in 2012. She gave crucial input regarding the design, structure, and placement of a viewing platform which allowed visitors to get a new perspective on a large-scale floor installation. Again, Magdalena's courtesy, creativity, and insights were incredibly appreciated. She has an amazing sensitivity to each project and gets to the core of it sometimes before I can even express it in words.”

“Lisa Little worked wonders in our smallish Venice space. We had complicated needs and she found elegant solutions within a tight budget. We redid a kitchen from the walls out, extended it a bit, added a bar, added in a huge walk-in closet and staircase in the master bedroom, and reconfigured a guest loft. The latter involved enclosing a half-wall for privacy via rotating shutters that Lisa dreamed up and designed. The shutters rotate open when the loft is not in use and closed when we have company up there. This was a brilliant idea, brilliantly executed at not much cost. Lisa helped with fixture choice, color choice, and furniture choice, and worked closely with the general contractor and his subs. She exhibited great taste, a firm hand, and a keen eye on the budget. Recommended without reservation.”

“We've lived in this Diane Waingrow designed home for nearly a decade and have never lost our appreciation for the skill and artistic sensibility it reflects. I've often described Diane's work as the perfect blending of form and functionality. I continue to marvel at what I call the 'geometry' of the house - the lines and planes (and perfectly placed skylights) adding up to a overall feeling of spaciousness and 'rightness.' That same feeling of rightness is reflected in the way the house commands but does not overwhelm the lot. Diane's work is imaginative and skillful but - even more importantly- it's extremely liveable.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed working with Bill Beauter and Jess Mullen-Carey of MAKE Architecture on our house. We'd worked with another architect but hadn't gotten a design we liked, so we started from scratch and sketched a floor plan ourselves. We even made a cardboard model to show the modern style we had in mind. But we wanted a good architect to give the design the polish it needed. Bill and Jess were recommended to us by a friend of our son. They improved what we had, remaining loyal to our vision while integrating a better roof design that achieved a pleasing volume to the interior, and providing overall coherence to the design. After completing the final plans, they worked with our contractor to make sure the house turned out the way we wanted. Always a pleasure to work with, Bill and Jess gave us great suggestions and were responsive to requests. Every day we admire the lines of our new house. We love living here and are delighted we found such great architects!”
