“We hired Design DCA (David Cox) to design our custom home. The reason we chose Design DCA was because we had previously toured one of his homes. The architecture of the home was unique, open, and with a great layout and flow. We actually loved the floor plan so much that we decided to base our design on it with minor changes made. David added a mudroom and kitchen pantry and redesigned the 3rd floor media space. He also designed all the interior elevation and exterior site plan. David was extremely easy to work with. He's professional, courteous, and very responsive. In addition, his fees are reasonable. We would highly recommend Design DCA for your next project.”

“In 1995, we purchased a less than half-complete 13,500 sf contemporary house on seven acres. The house had been heavily vandalized and was in bad shape. We hired Architect Michael Lee after our first meeting on the job site. His confidence and grasp of the wide range of problems with the house was immediate, and for us, he broke down the issues into easy to understand, prioritized lists, and later working plans. He repurposed three major living spaces and turned the main floor public spaces into a highly livable, free-flowing open-plan. With his broad range of architectural design, along with his mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, he literally transformed a house on the verge of being torn down into a spectacular piece of contemporary architecture. “I'm a professional electrical drafter, but architecture isn't my area. I bought a set of house plans that was similar to what I was looking for and at the recommendation of my GC, hired NewHaven for the changes. She did an outstanding job incorporating what I was looking for and had great ideas for the upstairs. Holly provided me with sketches of 3 possible options. Once I'd made my decision, her drawings were amazing. I saved thousands of dollars on my new home design by hiring NewHaven and a structural engineer, rather than an architect. It saved me a lot of time and money, in that I knew roughly what I was looking for in the floor plan. I lived in my home for more than 10 years before selling. It was a very livable and open space, that showed extremely well. It was also an ASID show house in fall 2001. I've recommended NewHaven to family and friends ever since.”
