Kim Hibbs was a delight to work with from first contact: friendly, honest, with our best interests in mind (including cost, quality of materials and workmanship). He is very organized and attentive, with outstanding communication skills ( he is a former TV news anchor). The entire process with HIbbs Homes was well-planned, including development of architectural plans, selection of materials and fixtures, development of budget, and every step of construction. Kim hires excellent sub-contractors, and he and his supervisor were on-site every day to monitor the work, to answer any questions, and to take care of any concerns immediately. What further distinguishes HIbbs Homes is their pricing structure, which allowed us to include high-end features (ground-source heat pump, the latest air-sealing materials/technology, granite countertops, custom cabinetry) at a much lower price point than any other builder we contacted. “Mike Mahn built a garage & deck addition for us in 2012. We have a walk out lower level so we replace our original wood deck with a 2-car garage with deck above. The new structure is solid surface brick and concrete that seamlessly integrates with the original home. The design & implementation are both outstanding, and it is now a focal point for both family time and outdoor entertaining. With any project in which you're dealing with existing conditions, there will be some surprises or unknowns. In our case, this did lead to some delays. Mike and the job foreman, Bob, did an excellent job of communicating throughout the process so that I understood exactly what the issues were, and how to address them. There were change orders involved, but there was a clearly defined process using a web-based job software, so there were no surprises when it came time for contractual matters and billing. Mike has always responded to call-backs without question, and continues to monitor the project in the event new issues arise. He took ownership for his work, and holds his sub-contractors to the same standard, which as a homeowner, I very much appreciate.”

“The exterior of our house was changed completely, adding a new entryway along with a very large coat/utility closet. To accommodate the closet on the main level, it was necessary to add a room on the second floor which turned into the kids' creative suite. The downstairs bedroom became a second master suite with an updated bathroom. Both the front of the garage and second master added stone to reflect the new stone work added to the front entryway. The master suite and bathroom upstairs were totally gutted and the ceiling raised.”
