I like the big ol wine fridge in the dining room. might be noisy though. still... makes more sense to put the wine fridge in a spot w the rest of the food type things.. Nope. WAY too noisy.

This is here as an example of what we don't like. It has the elements-wood stone glass ( and we are using stone and brick interchangeably). But this looks like a hotel. We're just not smart enough to know why.

So, this one has wood stone metal, so why doesn't it work? Too chopped up? Wood too light? Tony says horizontal wood is a fad, and it will be the avocado green of the future.

A way to soften the contemporary thing? Could be brick. Lightening and fireplace is not it. But columns and wood are.

metal, brick and wood. interesting combo of elements, and love all the different faces.so afraid of wood upkeep, but this horizontal wood is the element that draws you in. although, there's too much. Our brick would be square cut lines, not used-look. And we still like ivy somewhere. The wood eaves underneath are too much.

i like the brick and metal, the lots of windows, and the railing on the deck. Probably too much glass on this one. And way too tall and imposing.

Traditional and new at the same time. Glass has dark window frames, mixtures of facade elements: wood, glass and brick. It mixed the contemporary metal horizontal cord railings, and it looks like it works. Of course, it's photographed well. Sometimes I wonder if we're responding to the photo, not the design. Tony says too big too busy, but generally going right direction.
