Land & Water DesignA custom pool in a narrow backyard with a pergola attached to the house and supported with boxed columns defines a cozy dining space at the poolside. Three sheer descent waterfalls pour from the face of the wall behind the pool, adding beauty to what would otherwise be a strictly functional retaining wall. We even found a room at one end of the pool for a small outdoor grill island.

Cerámica MayorEn el patio trasero de esta clásica vivienda decidieron incluir una pequeña piscina aprovechando al máximo el espacio y revistiéndola con el color Cupira Multi que crea esos fantásticos efectos azul-turquesa en el agua.
Además, emplearon el borde de piscina Creta con unas dimensiones de 33x50cm, mientras que, para el revestimiento del vaso de la piscina, se empleó el formato 37.5x75cm.

John Pack Custom PoolsThis modern rectangular pool has the added touches of the triangular shapes at the corners with the spa incorporated with the pools essence. Spilling into the pool itself the spa feature adds a tranquil and relaxing element to the space. Just a few feet away you can enjoy cooking your dinner as you swim. An outdoor kitchen gives this space another area to entertain guests or ease the tension of the day. The pergola overhead gives the sense of space while defining the area for it's perfect use. Corrugated plastic covers the pergola so the space can be used rain or shine. With the beautiful stone fireplace it becomes a cozy area to talk about the day's adventures.

PAT.The villas are part of a master plan conceived by Ferdinando Fagnola in the seventies, defined by semi-underground volumes in exposed concrete: geological objects attacked by green and natural elements. These units were not built as intended: they were domesticated and forced into the imagery of granite coverings and pastel colors, as in most coastal architecture of the tourist boom.
We did restore the radical force of the original concept while introducing a new organization and spatial flow, and custom-designed interiors.

The planning phase of this modern retreat was an intense collaboration that took place over the course of more than two years. The main challenge on the site was elevation. The southeast corner of the lot stands 5'6" above the threshold of the rear door, while the northeast corner dropped a full 2' below the threshold. The backyard was also long and narrow, sloping side-to-side and toward the house. The key to the design concept was to deftly place the project in to the slope, utilize the elevation changes, but not allow them to dominate the yard, or overwhelm the senses.

This indoor sunroom flows through the large sliding glass door area to the pool deck, and the brown blackout roman shades will totally block the UV rays and light when fully closed. Totally open and all of the natural light will come into the sunroom.
This Patio - Sunroom Project looks at some patio ideas and sunroom designs that will include window treatments for sliding glass doors, french doors, roller shades and solar shades. Outdoor curtains, blinds and shades can be made of solar fabric mesh material that will withstand the elements.
