HELP - Kitchen Renovation - Backsplash Ideas Needed
Hello,
I recently finished a Kitchen Renovation and I am having trouble deciding on a backsplash (running from counter to sealing)
.
The kitchen is two tone with darker grey lower counters that have a matte finish and the upper is a lighter gray. The counter is a white quartz with a sparkle to it. Appliances are stainless steel including the hood fan which has not been installed yet.
Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated!

However, at the very end, he recognised an error on the final total, and explained that if I add up all the individual items, it totals 50.000. I understand, but he knew my budget was 40.000, and now because the work is finished, I can't even remove or reduce any of the work. It just seems unfair, because everyone could say that all the time. (1) comentariosApologies: here's the second item - I am having a hard time with the Houzz app for some reason (once I began adding photos it was hard to further edit my post). Anyways, item #2: does anyone have any lighting ideas for this room? The easy solution is adding recessed lights (this kitchen is on the second floor and adding lights from above shouldn't be too hard with access from attic). I thought about adding maybe 3 or so pendant lights through the middle of the room (at short lengths) could be cool, but not sure how that would look/feel (Kohler Lighting 22653-PE01-BNL Artifacts 5" Wide Mini | Build.com) I think these would give off a strong amount of light (I have used similar lights from the same Kohler line in other rooms) but may seem odd in the space/not perform as well as recessed lights as far as illumination goes. I am going for somewhat of a traditional look, that has some craftsman/occasional Victorian vibes in my home. Any ideas welcome - thanks....Ver más- PRO

hace 6 añosGlass tile would look really nice. A mosaic ribbon may also help to balance the different color base and overheads. This is just an example to show How the mosaic looks with the glass.

hace 6 añosWe used this wavy tile for our kitchen backsplash and really love it. It adds a little bling when the light catches it, but it is easy to clean and a few specks or streaks don’t show too readily. I had a box leftover and combined it with second colour and a plain white tile in my recent bathroom renovation.

hace 6 añosWhat is your budget for tile? I really like Red Rock Tileworks; they are handmade, to order and offer a uniqueness you can't find outside of handmade tile. There is this great glaze pooling that occurs and the variation in one color is superb.

hace 6 añosYour modern kitchen and white counter could support all kinds of color, so just go to a tile store and look around. A colored glass could be great.

It's modern, has some color/movement and interest and would compliment the two tones of your grey cabinetry and also works with your floor tile. https://tilebar.com/talon-calacatta-and-thassos-marble-tile.html Bringing home lots of samples will be the best thing you can do though.
