“Mrs. Anjali had created a unique design for our front yard. She worked diligently with us every step of this project because we did not know what we want, what would be appropriate for our climate zone and our particular location. She was very patient, understanding and kind. We appreciated that! She explained thoroughly the ins and outs of this project. We were particularly impressed with her knowlege of plants and flowers, it was fun to work with her. Our front yard has been outgrowing and was not taken care of for years. Mrs. Anjali turned it into a beautiful shrubs and flower bed. She took out some old bushes and trees, kept our favorite Japanese maple (which one couldn't even see) and incorporated it into her design. And we loved the choice of shrubs and flowers she made! One more thing to add --- she managed to stay on budget! She is a very resourceful designer.”

“We hired Jackie to make a very ugly back yard into a space we would love and she did. She used her expertise to tackle a project with multiple grading and structural issues. Besides having strong creative talents, she also is extremely flexible and accomodating to work with, making changes as needed and being sensitive to the clients concerns (financial and otherwise) while always keeping an eye towards the integrity of her project. She develops very detailed plans , picks contractors that she respects and follows the project through to completion remaining dedicated to the needs of her clients even in areas that should/might be the contractors. We are thrilled with our new living space and highly recommend Jacalyn Gould as a Landscape Architect.”

“Melissa MacDonald is a very talented and professional Landscape Architect. My husband and I are both architects and we had been trying to design the landscape for our home in the heart of historic Lexington MA. for a year. When we asked Melissa to help us, she promptly delivered a design that was sensitive to the traditional setting of Lexington's historic district and satisfied our spatial requests. The hard-scape is elegant and we have been enjoying the sequence of blooming plants since May. I am thrilled with Melissa's design and with her service. She worked seamlessly with the contractor who highly respected her expertise. I am happy to write this review because I have been recommending her to my clients and to my friends who have been admiring her work as well.”

“Description Of Work: The Narrow Lane, through Ron Goode, it's owner/operator and his team, performed various services for us, including 3 new paver walkways with cobblestone lining them, a new driveway, new sod in the front, new side and back lawns, new plantings, new retaining walls, two tree removals, large overgrown shrub removals, planting of several new trees and other plants, as well as fertilizing, leaf removal/Spring cleanup and some general landscape maintenance. Comments: It went great! Our main design and construction work required every part of our yard to be torn up, excavated, or otherwise touched with a shovel, mini-excavator, or other tool/piece of machinery and Ron worked hard to ensure that the disruptions to my family were minimal. He also listened to each request, made recommendations based on our budget, worked hard to get the estimate within our budget, and has produced a product that every neighbor has complemented! We love how it all turned out and have had several people ask if it is a new house! I highly recommend The Narrow Lane for not only landscape design and construction, but also maintenance. Ron will work hard to ensure that he gives you exactly what you want in a budget you can be happy with.”

“She's like a painter with plants. With a superb knowledge of natives. I loved her presentation and her education of us--complete with visuals--on all that she wanted to do with plants. She has a clean, modern sensibility, but with a friendly, approachable, style, even good humor in the work. She's willing to take ideas and bring them to fruition--we came prepared with ideas and she showed us how to make them work. And then, she brought her own smart vision. Vision. That's what she's got. And really knows her plants. It's worth noting that she has so much talent. With this kind of talent, she could be impossible to work with, but she is THE LOVELIEST human being to be around. A great, attentive listener, with a strong desire to please. She works her hiney off, meets deadlines, is on top of details, just overall, committed to satisfaction.”

“WD helped to make our backyard built-in grill and double firepit a reality. The guys on-site kept things clean, moving forward, and were always so pleasant to be around. They set the bar high in terms of standards and were adaptable as we added on / changed parts of the scope of work. Highly recommend.”
