“MasterPlan provided me with a complete landscape design for my backyard patio, pool area and deck. From the time Josh and I first met to discuss the project through the end of the construction, Josh was nothing but professional, knowledgeable and accessible. Josh provided a state of the art 3D digital proposal for my patio, deck and pool area and the final product exceeded my expectations. He oversaw all aspects of the project including obtaining the architectural drawings, filing for permits, attending a variance hearing and supervising the multiple subcontractors on the project. Josh was available for any questions or concerns that arose and checked in with me frequently for my feedback and to keep me up to date with scheduling. Josh has a welcome attention to detail and pointed out small changes that made a big difference. The final product is an impressive and welcoming backyard oasis that my family and friends will enjoy for many years. I have used designers and subcontractors on multiple occasions and this has been , by far, my best experience. I highly recommend Josh and MasterPlan to anyone considering an outdoor project. “Donald Pell designed my court yard with paths and circles of flagstone and fountains.the planting s are beautiful . People always asked what the plants are because they are not commonly used plants. We also had him do three other gardens for us. All with plants and trees I have never seen before. His employees do a wonderful job. They clean up everything and take it with them. They are very knowledgeable of the environment and the perfect plant for the location . We are very pleased with his work and highly recommend him. Some of the gardens are over three years old and are still beautiful !”

“Where to begin? That was our dilemma. We had been in our home for 30 years and had a long list of items that needed to be addressed. Most of our mature trees had recently been taken out, but we still had a tremendous amount of existing plants in our backyard. We had a vision, but didn't know how to bring it to life. Have you ever visited your friendly garden center in an attempt to gain advice? You bring home the "perfect plants" and put them in the ground, only to find yourself digging them out several years later? That was our experience, over and over again. We realized that we needed someone to listen to our vision and help us put the pieces in place. We were introduced to Bill Tamburro. He listened, really listened to what my husband and I wanted to accomplish. Planting a privacy screen with evergreens across the back of our property was our first priority. Low maintenance and less money spent on mulch was our second and third priority. Because we love to "collect" roses, peonies, hydrangeas, etc., a beautiful flow and design, that would accommodate all of our favorites was also important to us. Bill delivered on every element. He drew up a workable plan for our sloped backyard which eased the chore of mowing a steep bank. Bill also helped us choose the correct trees, evergreens, perennials and groundcovers to fit the space and keep maintenance to a minimum. Most importantly, Bill designed a framework with boundaries which gives our gardens a cohesive look for timeless beauty. The professional, expert advice we received was well worth the time and investment we made. We would like to work with Bill again next year when we redo the landscaping in our front yard.”

“From the moment we met Frederick, owner of Garden Design, Inc., we knew we were in great hands. He shared the vision and passion that we had for our backyard landscaping project. He was able to develop a landscaping plan that was appropriate for the style of our home and kept our budget in mind while planning. All of the plants used were of mature size and healthy quality. The installation team were mindful of our property and executed the plan as we had vision. Frederick was present during all stages of the project and made any necessary adjustments that were needed. We are looking forward to working with Frederick this winter on a master plan for our entire property and will be using him and his team for years to come.”

“Back in February of 2013 I moved into a new house in South Philadelphia. The house has an 18’x15’ yard. About two thirds of the yard is patio but in the back of the yard is a 15’ x 6’ section of dirt. I wanted to do something with it but I really did not know what design would work in the space. A colleague of mine referred me to Zach Cross. I contacted Zach and he came to see the space. Zach asked lots of questions and he was a good listener as I shared some of my ideas about the yard. Within a few weeks, Zach had drawn up three different designs with estimates and I chose my favorite. In early spring, Zach worked with me to schedule the project at the most convenient time. He began on time and completed the project in three days. I live in a row house without back access to the garden so Zach had to remove rocks and debris and bring new dirt, plants and other supplies through the front of the house. He was very careful and clean. I am very happy with the final result. The urban garden is simple, inviting and easy to maintain thanks to Zach’s design and hard work. I would highly recommend Zach Cross for landscape designs and projects. He created a great design. He was courteous, friendly and careful with my property. He finished the job on time and on budget.”
