“Our experience working with Jason and The Gardeners has been nothing short of outstanding! When we purchased our house, the backyard was wooded and dark, with a small deck and an overgrown and poorly constructed pergola. Jason provided us with a landscaping plan that was beyond our imagination -- and The Gardeners took that vision and made it a reality. Our outdoor space is now the highlight of our home -- complete with an outdoor kitchen and dining area, multi-level bluestone patio, firepit, gunite pool, and poolhouse -- all complimented with beautiful trees and plantings and dramatic lighting. We were especially impressed at Jason's careful planning and selection of plantings -- there is never a time that something new is not blooming providing us with continuous color throughout the seasons! Jason's design has provided us with a space that is not only aesthetically beautiful but also perfectly functional for our family and for our love of outdoor entertaining. Jason is easy to work with, is a great listener and has incredible landscaping knowledge, design sense and attention to detail. Throughout our project, he was always available and responsive, and the work was done in a timely and professional manner. The Gardeners continues to maintain our landscaping, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend The Gardeners!”

“Mrs. Anjali had created a unique design for our front yard. She worked diligently with us every step of this project because we did not know what we want, what would be appropriate for our climate zone and our particular location. She was very patient, understanding and kind. We appreciated that! She explained thoroughly the ins and outs of this project. We were particularly impressed with her knowlege of plants and flowers, it was fun to work with her. Our front yard has been outgrowing and was not taken care of for years. Mrs. Anjali turned it into a beautiful shrubs and flower bed. She took out some old bushes and trees, kept our favorite Japanese maple (which one couldn't even see) and incorporated it into her design. And we loved the choice of shrubs and flowers she made! One more thing to add --- she managed to stay on budget! She is a very resourceful designer.”

“Nancy Lattanzio is a very talented landscape designer who is also a pleasure to work with. Nancy has worked diligently with us for over 5 years and has transformed our uninspired yard into a beautiful, functional outdoor space. She has also worked to turn an untamed, invasive-choked wooded area/wetland into what we now refer to as our "woodland" filled with native trees, shrubs, ferns and perennials and mulched pathways. Nancy's knowledge of horticulture is vast and she is an ace at selecting the best plants suited to our environment while being sensitive to our personal preferences. Her communication skills are excellent, she has a large network of sub-contractors, and has experience working effectively with town government. I look forward to working with Nancy on more home landscape projects!”

My husband and I are both architects and we had been trying to design the landscape for our home in the heart of historic Lexington MA. for a year. When we asked Melissa to help us, she promptly delivered a design that was sensitive to the traditional setting of Lexington's historic district and satisfied our spatial requests. The hard-scape is elegant and we have been enjoying the sequence of blooming plants since May. I am thrilled with Melissa's design and with her service. She worked seamlessly with the contractor who highly respected her expertise. “Dave and his team were excellent. In our initial meeting, Dave was respectful and knowledgable, really listening to what we wanted. His detailed quote hit all the various options we asked for and included sample photos. Once the build started, his team was fast, clean, and courteous. We live on a busy street with many involved neighbors and everyone commented to me after how professional the team was. Along the way we made slight changes to the project which Dave was flexible to accomodate. The final product was better than we imagined and we're already talking future projects. Highly recommend!!”

“Description Of Work: The Narrow Lane, through Ron Goode, it's owner/operator and his team, performed various services for us, including 3 new paver walkways with cobblestone lining them, a new driveway, new sod in the front, new side and back lawns, new plantings, new retaining walls, two tree removals, large overgrown shrub removals, planting of several new trees and other plants, as well as fertilizing, leaf removal/Spring cleanup and some general landscape maintenance. Comments: It went great! Our main design and construction work required every part of our yard to be torn up, excavated, or otherwise touched with a shovel, mini-excavator, or other tool/piece of machinery and Ron worked hard to ensure that the disruptions to my family were minimal. He also listened to each request, made recommendations based on our budget, worked hard to get the estimate within our budget, and has produced a product that every neighbor has complemented! We love how it all turned out and have had several people ask if it is a new house! I highly recommend The Narrow Lane for not only landscape design and construction, but also maintenance. Ron will work hard to ensure that he gives you exactly what you want in a budget you can be happy with.”
