“If you are familiar with residential developments known for stacking as many homes as possible onto a small parcel of land... this review is for you. Downsizing landed us in one of those developments. Located at the bottom of a hill with three homes looking directly onto our patio, we had absolutely no privacy. Ken, our landscape designer from Room to Grow, changed our yard from a rectangle piece of grass into a stunning sanctuary of privacy. Ken's resourcefulness proved invaluable as he managed sub-contractors and post-pandemic glitches in availability of materials. He committed to a timeline, and stuck to it. By weaving together several gardens, placing strategic screens which provided the necessary focal points, he was able to design gardens with year-round interest, color, movement and texture throughout. It is beautiful! Room to Grow has proven to be trustworthy, dependable and creative. I have recommended them to our family and friends. Such a stellar business!”

“I hired Kim as my landscape architect after interviewing several other landscape architects and she stood out for two reasons. First she clearly had an eye for design and second she really knew what she was doing. In fact throughout the entire project I was able to witness Kim's amazing ability to be able to stay true to her sense of design and what would work and wouldn't in certain places while also being able to take into consideration my particular taste as a homeowner. Not only was my garden beautiful at the time of the project completion but its beauty has become even more evident over time. For example the plantings are filling in nicely and the trees and plants that were chosen to attract birds have done just that. As a result I am enjoying listening to the sound of birds singing over listening to the sound of traffic which is all I seemed to be able to hear before. I have also been able to enjoy my garden throughout the year as Kim carefully selected plantings that would allow me to have a beautiful garden (both front and back) during all seasons and that is exactly what happened. Many times this past year I thought about how thankful I was that I chose Kim to do the work. I have received and continue to receive many compliments as well. Thank you Kim for doing such an amazing job!”

“Mark initially presented several design ideas nicely suited for our relatively small yard. We arrived at a final design through a collaborative approach where Mark listened to our aesthetic and functional preferences, and successfully incorporated them into the plan. Our small yard presented some unique challenges that Mark was able to help us navigate through. We would describe Mark as being easy to work with, very talented, and professional in his approach. We are very pleased with the final results of our project.”

“Erin completely redesigned and installed our front garden and did an excellent and artistic job. We had an old-fashioned front yard with grass, which needed lots of water and weeding. She redesigned and sculpted the front to remove the grass, add sustainable and lovely plants, which have saved us lots of money on water bills and also made our front yard more attractive. We've received many compliments from neighbors and plan to use her services in the future - for our back yard. Erin is professional, skilled and was a pleasure to work with throughout the project.”

“Mark did an excellent job understanding our vision and budget. He created a very private space which is artistically interesting. He incorporated various textures with the use of clear cedar, gabion baskets and plant selections. The result is just what we desired, a calm retreat to enjoy the water's edge. Visitors rave and are a bit in awe of the feeling of great space which is in reality - extremely small. Mark worked directly with the landscapers during the project. His hands on communication and oversight made the whole process easy for us and assured the vision was achieved. We are thrilled.”

“We worked with Homegrown Organics on landscaping our back yard. They had great ideas for paths, raised beds, and plantings. And they had several options for different sizes and costs for the project. We had one patio expanded with brickwork, a stone retaining wall patched up, a raised bed built, mulching to keep the weeds under control, and some beautiful plantings with an automatic drip irrigation system to make it through the dry summers without using too much water. Now instead of feeling like a difficult to maintain project, our backyard feels like a natural outdoor room.”

“We worked closely with Brian to design and cleanup our existing landscaping - this included refreshing all the beds, a new bed by the driveway, a new stepping stone pathway from the driveway to the side yard gate, and a stepping stone patio in our backyard. He was great to work with and easy to communicate with on the project timelines and cost. I would highly recommend working with Install Landscaping for a project of any size!”
