We thoroughly enjoyed making an Exteriorscapes landscape design come to life last winter. Their selection of natural boulders combined with sleek concrete pavers aligned with our construction services.

I cannot say enough great things about Exteriorscapes. We had them build a brick driveway for us more than a decade ago, which is still holding up beautifully today, and then last summer had them completely revamp our front yard, with a wood deck, stone patio, cascading planters, and moss hills. The project began collaboratively, with their interpreting our needs and design requests perfectly to meet our budget and particular landscape, adding creative ideas and solutions. They kept the project on schedule and on budget. We are so pleased with the result, we spent much more time outside than ever before... it's as if we have a whole new home.

We hired Exteriorscapes to design and install the landscaping for our new house. Cameron and his crew were great to work with. Throughout the project they listened to our ideas, interests, and concerns with the result that we now have beautiful outdoor spaces that we enjoy year round. Thank you Exteriorscapes!

I wanted to do a major "re-do" of my yard-- all new plantings in the front, sides, and back yards, plus a new fence, deck, and walkways. Exteriorscapes was recommended to me for this project, and I am so glad I ended up working with them. Everything was excellent, from my first meeting with the owner (Cameron Scott, who is delightful to work with and extremely responsive to any questions or requests), to my work with the design team, and the crew who actually did the work, which continued over several months. The crew who came every day worked so hard and diligently. I actually enjoyed having them working around my home. The results are gorgeous. I have a terrific new fence and deck, lovely walkways, a backyard fire pit, a gurgling fountain and gorgeous plants and trees that will only get better over the next few years as they mature. I HIGHLY recommend Exteriorscapes. You can likely find less expensive landscapers but you won't get this level of quality and attention.

My husband and I met with Julie, the landscape maintenance manager for Exteriorscapes, at our house to preview the job. She was nice and attentive, and ask what out budget was for bi weekly service for both the lawn, and plant bed care. She said that was workable and that they had a spot available on their schedule for the following week, as we wanted someone soon. We were promised the official quick proposal within a few days. After a few days past, and hadn't heard from her, emailed her for the reminder. Julie quickly got back to me saying that they could not service our landscape needs within our specified budget, for the bi weekly service. So then I asked to go just monthly, and their proposal came. It was way more than we could afford. So then we decided to forgo the lawn service and just take care of the plant beds, going bi monthly. That cost came out to almost $1,000.00 for a few hours of work every other month. This whole process dragged on for over three weeks. So, I've come away with the following about this company. They have no problem wasting people's time, they charge exorbitant prices, and their service is NOT a good value for what they are willing to do. There are other good companies out there that do not charge what they do. But they do have a pretty website.

I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Cameron and his entire Exteriorscapes team for many years now, since 2002! He did a complete re-design of the hardscape of my yard taking into account the layout of the house, maximizing accessibility and showcasing the view of the sound. Over the years and many visits of friends and service folks, the yard never fails to get compliments! A few years after the hardscaping was done, Cameron and team took on the daunting project of replacing the original deck, significantly adding to it and thereby making the connection complete between the house and the yard enabling a flow around and into the house from all sides of the property. At the same time they replaced an old boring fence, extending it in two directions, beautifully complementing the landscaping and the deck. His use of natural stone for multiple low walls, courtyards and walkways never fail to receive comments and questions from visitors on who did the work! His inclusion of a low-key water feature in the courtyard of the main entrance to the house has been a haven for years for birds taking baths, raccoons cleaning their food and the local cats stopping off for a quick drink on their rounds. Over the last five years Cameron and team came to the rescue after there was a small landslide on my property. They worked diligently with the City of Edmonds while bringing in a stellar Geotech firm, Structural Engineer, Biologist, Survey Engineers and a pile Driving company to stabilize the slope, restore a boardwalk/deck and to ensure my house is protected from further soil erosion and slides. The work they did was even commented on in glowing terms by the Biologist in his report to the City of Edmonds as part of the required permitting process. Since the work was completed late this spring, there have been several major rain storms, saturating the soil causing many slides in areas around me while my slope has held! Cameron always provides detailed bids and is open to questions and suggestions. He works in a collaborative manner which I greatly appreciate. With the last multi-year project to maintain and preserve the slope on the south side of my home, he took into careful consideration budgetary limitations, always working closely with me on resources being brought onto the team along with working diligently to ensure that the City of Edmonds permitting process and review went as quickly and smoothly as feasible. He and Exteriorscapes are my go-to company for any changes or work I need on my yard, deck, fence and slope. I am always mentioning the when I have new visitors to the house as I give them a tour of the fabulous yard I have because of him and his team! Many pictures of the projects Cameron has worked on for me have been on, and remain scattered throughout his website.

We have a bungalow on a standard size city lot and our backyard was in terrible condition. After looking at several landscape contractors we chose Exteriorscapes. We could not be happier with that decision. Cameron, the owner, and the entire Exteriorscapes crew were professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire project. Our project was quite large, encompassing most of our backyard. It was also challenging due to very restricted access to the space and limited ability to stage landscaping materials. Exteriorscapes overcame all these difficulties with skill and the project completed on budget. Also, when we had concerns or unforeseen issues arose during the project (which happens during any large project), Exteriorscapes was very accessible and attentive. The major elements of our project consisted of the placement of large boulders at the back of our property and the construction of a stone patio enclosed by a dry-laid stone wall that incorporated a small water feature. Exteriorscapes executed every element to perfection. Boulder placement was performed with such care and in such a natural manner that the rocks appear to have been on our property forever. The stone wall and patio, the most prominent element of our project, were constructed with superb craftsmanship. The final result was a backyard landscape that far exceeded anything we could have imagined from both an aesthetic and livability perspective. I would highly recommend Exteriorscapes for any landscape project, especially if your landscape plan incorporates stone.

Our experience in working with Cameron and his staff at Exteriorscapes, LLC was positive throughout the planning phase and the two months they came to our home. Their professional skills, knowledge, and execution of our landscape design was superior. All staff members consistently conveyed a warm, engaging attitude, demonstrating respectful effective communication. They were easy going, relaxed, and delightful to work with. Cameron worked with us by compromising and collaborating in a few areas to facilitate the commencement of our project. Exteriorscapes completed their work within the expected budget and within the time frame they predicted even with three work change orders. We live on the Olympic Peninsula, some distance from Exteriorscapes main office; Exteriorscapes staff never complained about the working arrangements and schedule to make our landscape design project a reality. Matt, as the project manager, and Will, skilled stone/mason, were conscientious and precise paying close attention to details in their work. Cameron placed approximately 20 large granite boulders throughout the yard. To create privacy he installed a large berm, removed all of the grass except for a small area, and reshaped the elevations utilizing heavy equipment. He extended a portion of the yard by using several of the large granite boulders as retainers to hold added soil and compost. Cameron consistently worked to create the effect we were striving for in this major landscape project. Through Matt and Will's work three rain gardens were installed in addition to revamping the majority of the yard by changing elevations, adding a flagstone patio, creating crushed granite pathways, installing two off-road permeable parking areas, a turn around, and preparing two structure bases one for a 14' x 16' garden shed, the other for a 12' x 10' tea house, which would be built upon completion of Exteriorscapes' work. Due to unpredictable elevation discrepancies in the our landscape design, Matt and Will skillfully added granite risers creating three steps and adding a few smaller rocks to readjust the plan, which made the look of the yard design aesthetically pleasing and fluid. The collective years of experience between the staff assigned to this project made the difference between an average project outcome to an excellent one. Between my husband and myself, I was the primary decision maker for this project. There were times I did not understand the direction they were going in or I had questions concerning the outcome of the work; all the staff skillfully guided me in visualizing various options and they helped lead me to a conclusion that was cohesive with the printed design. I really appreciated their expertise and ability to communicate their vision, we truly worked as a team. We continue to receive numerous complements on our yard because of the beautiful changes that have taken place. Even though I have not completed all of my planned planting, the landscape structure gives a new feel to the yard, it is the cake. All the plants will be the icing on the cake. It is a yummy cake indeed. We are excited, satisfied, and thankful we hired Cameron and his excellent team at Exteriorscapes. We would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to make changes to their yard.

We hired Exteriorscapes to turn our boring and sad backyard into a Zen meets Pacific Northwest sanctuary, having no real idea how it could be done or time to figure it out, and they made it happen! During the design phase, I felt that the team did an excellent job listening to our vague inputs and responding with suggestions that fit. We had a sloped yard with some areas that were overgrown and inaccessible. They came up with a unique design using Cor-ten steel walls to create simple terraces, which ultimately made our yard look bigger and much more usable. During the construction phase, the team excelled by being punctual, courteous, and cleaning up after themselves without fail every night. Finally, they did a fantastic job during the plant selection and installation, again having great intuition about what we were looking for and then pulling it all together. Other awesome highlights included a unique treehouse for our daughter clad in upcycled fence boards, amazing and well-established plants for the entire front and back yards, various cool walking paths throughout the property, a beautiful new fence, and custom made shoji-type screens around our patio that add a diffused glow of light to our outdoors living space. All around, we couldn't be happier with Exteriorscapes. Communications and project documentations were great, everything was top quality and worth the price, and the team was flexible to meet us when we could per our busy family schedule.
