“We knew our garden needed a revamp, and we wanted it to be “grown-up” but still welcoming, but had few preconceived ideas. Not being gardeners ourselves, we didn’t have any plant knowledge but knew the styles we did and didn’t like. Peter, through relaxed discussion and an exchange of images, of gardens and plants, somehow managed to gauge the sort of thing we were hoping for. We were genuinely excited by Peter’s design when we saw it on paper and it was a pleasure to see the reality appearing gradually as the work progressed. We now have a garden we love and can be proud of – relaxed and elegant at the same time. Almost a year on, we still smile every time we look out of the window. The garden has remained a wonderful focal point throughout the winter months, thanks to Peter's thoughtful planting, and with Spring not far off, we are looking forward to the bulbs Peter introduced us to putting in an appearance.”

“Catherine did a great job from beginning to end. I needed to completely change the back and front gardens. She had great ideas on what would work and what would not, how to deliver the look I wanted and how to keep it within budget. I couldn't be more happy with the results. Both gardens look great - the neighbours have all commented on the front garden. She worked well with the builder who did the landscaping. She's also been happy to replace a plant that died and fix an irrigation pipe someone else broke.
I cant believe how many plants I have. Given the money available for plants, I expected a small number of small plants, but the garden is full of lovely plants and it looks well established after only 3 months. Every few weeks some new plants come into flower so I think there is a good mix of plants to have flowers most of the year. I would happily recommend Catherine Rampton.”

“We hired Nigel from Cityscapers to design and create a completely new large garden following extensive renovations to our suburban home. He worked closely with us to understand our tastes and what we wanted from the garden, paying attention not just to how it would look, but how we would use it and feel in it when completed.
Nigel worked hard to reflect the interior and exterior architecture of the house, using flowing lines, slopes and levels to connect spaces and give structure and meaning to the result. He even incorporated a gurgling stream, with particular attention to the perfect selection and placement of rocks.
Nigel also patiently went along with our desire to "own" the result by doing much of the planting ourselves, although I'm sure he'd have done a better job himself. The process has felt very "organic", too, with Nigel eschewing noisy and polluting tools where possible, making sure we started composting and encouraging us to get involved.
The end result is a garden that's simply a delight to be in, and we're excited to see it mature and develop under Nigel's guidance.
I highly recommend Cityscapers for their design vision and flair, their meticulous attention to detail and total fearlessness in the face of some backbreaking work.”
