“We contacted Pinehurst Landscaping Company about six months ago because we wanted to renovate previous landscaping that had been done after our home was built. Despite hiring a professional landscaping company, the trees and bushes that they planted were either too large or too small for the area. Instead of accentuating our new home, the landscaping interfered with the architecture of the house resulting in diminished curb appeal. We scheduled a time that Ted would come and assess our landscaping. Ted sat down with us after surveying our plantings and pointed out the errors in the trees and other plantings that were chosen. After careful deliberation, Ted came up with a plan that fit our landscaping area. He chose plants and trees based on color, size, texture, and fragrance. Even if we didn’t care for a particular choice he had a backup suggestion. After we finalized our plan, we met him at the nursery where we were able to pick out our trees and shrubs. However, the true test was the end result. Ted and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in the time frame he had cited. We were thrilled with the end result. We received many compliments from our neighbors and guests and recommended Pinehurst without hesitation. The cost was reasonable and the quality of work was superb. “We had a excellent relationship working with Doug and his crew. Fernhill had built a large retaining wall for our yard last year. We were more than pleased with the quality and detail in the work. We then decided to hire Fernhill for a complete redo of both our front and back yards. The project included a small retaining wall in the front, a large flagstone patio and fire pit in the back yard, planting and lighting. Doug's attention to our project and his crew's professionalism were constant from start to finish. They were timely and finished the job within the given time frame. “We worked with Aaron Raines with Live Green Landscapes to build a 50' long dry stack bluestone wall with evergreen plantings to screen our house from our neighbor's driveway. After receiving multiple bids, Live Green was not the lowest (never go with the low bid) but was middle of the road. They did a phenomenal job with the construction as well as sending updated construction photos as they were completing the work while we were on vacation. The plantings they provided have flourished and we have received numerous compliments on the quality and appearance of the overall product.
