“Our challenge was to reenergize and refresh a Nursing Home in Toronto that was badly stuck in the '80s. Margot helped us select a color palette, make furniture choices, rehang our existing art and plan for both immediate and longer term design needs. Choosing an aesthetic that would make our residents feel at home - despite some necessary institutional components - was very important. Our nursing home is comprised of a stately mansion built in the 1860s, as well as a newer addition along the back. Margot chose to retain the existing mansion's design features including original Anaglypta wallpaper from England and highlight the gorgeous sculpted ceilings. She artfully chose an array of paint colors that would enhance the historic details of the Home. The overall goal was to restore the Home's prior elegance while modernizing its look. Margot paid great attention to detail and lighting during the design process. She readily worked with our suppliers (paint, etc.), answered all of our questions both during and after the project, and gave us options that would fit our budget. She also utilized research into color choices for people with dementia which was important to us. She was highly professional in all of her dealings and we would not hesitate to recommend her. Her advice was solid, her follow through exemplary.”

“Ramee has been our I nterior design consultant during a renovation of our home including the kitchen, family and living area and the master bedroom and ensuite. We called Ramee when we suddenly realized that we had to make many design decisions within a 1-2 weeks and were uncertain what to do. Her quick response to us of 4 days from our initall contact certainly kept the project moving forward and gave us peace of mind with the decisions. We had a vision for the final look of the home but did not know how to achieve this. She went with us to the flooring and tile store and then made suggestions for were within our budget and achieve the style we wanted. She worked with our cabinet designer to guide us in our counter top and hardware selections and paint colours for the kitchen and ensuite bath. She provided several design layouts for the ensuite and the kitchen. We are very pleased with all her suggestion and have followed them. We have been very pleased with Ramee's choice of paint colours in home . The application of paint to the staircase has changed the entrance dramatically. Ramee plans to assist us with home furnishing suggestions in the future.”

With Mel’s help we moved in within 8months of ownership. She helped us with a new floor plan, (relocating the kitchen and both bathrooms,) lighting layout and sourced many final finishes for the interior. She also designed our kitchen and office cabinetry - which we are so happy with. She was able to design and make suggestions for things we had never thought of - and sourced all our appliances too! Closer to move-in date, she helped us select all our interior paint colours and helped with furniture layouts.
