“Elaine was a delight to work with. She was very responsive which was such a nice surprise when working with a contractor. She remodeled our kitchen, living room, and bathroom. I have champagne taste and a beer budget. Elaine was communicative, found great substitutes that were in our price range, and gave us a lot of choices. Any issues we have had she immediately responds and coordinates a solution within 24 hrs. Her team was really pleasant to work with.”

“Jeanne was amazing to work with. This project was particularly challenging as we purchased a house from a developer mid construction so had to work with existing elements that had already been selected and blend them with our aesthetic. She helped us select everything: tile, plumbing fixtures, doors, hardware, lighting, counters, backsplash, paint and furnishings to create our dream home! Throughout the process she has been super responsive, organized, detailed, and just a pleasure to work with. We could not had a better experience!”

“I live out of state and needed someone to help me orchestrate the furnishing of my second home. Sue Jucker was definitely well suited for fulfilling my needs. She consistently goes the extra mile to satisfy the customer. She is knowledgeable and gifted in interior design. She knows the Ethan Allen product line very well and is consistent in being able to recommend the perfect room décor ideas. Sue managed to capture the look of my dreams and made the whole experience totally enjoyable and positive. I was blessed to have met her.”

“We have been thinking about an addition to our house for over 8 years. We felt stuck and unable to proceed with plans because we could not make the floor plan "come alive". We could see walls and dimensions but the space lacked flow or vision. Silverwood Home Designs fixed that for us! Nikki was able to listen to our must haves and our big wishes and create a space that feels like home. We were referred to Silverwood Home Designs and are extremely pleased with the results of our new plan. We are a family of 4 which includes 2 small children (and a dog). Nikki was able to incorporate our current needs while also focusing on how we will want our house to grow alongside the children. She utilized the space appropriately and functionally keeping in mind storage and lighting. During the presentation of her plans, we were blown away how she was able to offer more than we had ever imagined. The best part, she made minimal impact to restructure the space and include everything on our wish list (and more!) I will recommend Nikki and Silverwood Home Designs to anyone looking to Remodel, Renovate or Design any part of their living space. In fact, we are already talking about bringing Nikki back to take a look at another area we want to update.”

“I was overwhelmed on how to arrange a room to fit two office desks, make it into an entertainment room and storage. Lauren to the rescue...she came to the house, we discussed my thoughts, budget, she measured the room, she knew we can use many of my existing furniture and recommended some add ons. Lauren sent me a few layouts, proposed budget, which she came in under budget, and called me to discuss. Lauren listened and delivered! I’m so happy with the outcome. Love, Love my new room! “I first hired Kirsten in Aug. 2008 to redecorate two bedrooms. Since then, she has gone on to redo all the rooms in my house (some of which can be seen on her web site and on houzz). After almost four years,we are the last room, the library. Kirsten turned a dark and dated house into a delightful and comfortable home. When we started I thought I knew how I wanted the place to feel but not how it should look to get that way. From our first meeting, Kirsten patiently and carefully listened. She gracefully accepted that I wanted to shop at vintage and antique stores and wanted to be more hands on than most customers, but she was always gently in control of the process. It is impossible to talk about details since the job entailed completely redoing six rooms (including the kitchen) and two baths. Kirsten does fabulous work for a fair price and always puts the customer's interests first. She is beloved by the trades people she works with because she is kind and very nice, but she really gets the job done. My only regret is that I have run out of rooms for her to work on. If you live in Connecticut, and you need a designer, hire this woman. You will be very happy.”
