“I was looking to remodeled my bathroom and looking for a interior designer to assist me with the design of the bathroom. I hired DIH Design to help complete the task. The owner and designer was wonderful. She provided a design plan that was not only beautiful but also fit into my budget. As difficult arose related to our first contractor, Asisat was patient with us and even brought another contractor to make sure we complete the bathroom on time. She even rolled up her sleeves and helped paint just to save me money. I would definitely recommend DIH Design to anyone. I plan on remodeling my kitchen soon, I plan on hiring DH Design. Hire her, you won’t regret it.”

“Design for change worked with our non- profit on a pro-bono basis. We are a domestic violence organization that was trying to outfit 30 apartment units on a shoestring. Kathleen was so knowledgeable about how to make spaces inviting and comfortable for our clients. Her social work background was such an asset. She was also able to create beautiful spaces with donated and inexpensive items!!! She can make anything look gorgeous I only wish we had a bigger budget. She outfitted 30 units quickly, efficiently and consistently between units. I was amazed and very thankful. We expanded to an additional building 10 months later and she was up to the task! That is a whopping 49 units! She is compassionate, professional and not afraid to roll up her sleeves. Highly recommended! Natalia”

“My wife and I just completed a project with interior designer, Andrea Houck, president of A. Houck Designs. We were very happy with the end result of our living room, dining room, foyer, and kitchen breakfast nook. This was the first time that we had used an interior designer and Andrea was able to easily answer all of our questions and guide us through the entire process from design concept through installation. After initially speaking with us and finding out what we did and didn’t like, she was able to help us define our style and presented us with a number of different options for each room that we were able to refine and choose from. She also helped us to pick a unique color palette that coordinated from room to room and, importantly, easily fit with the rest of our existing home. “I recently downsized from a 3476 square foot to a 1598 square foot townhouse. Much of the furniture that I had was too big for the smaller house. The new house is not really new so it needed a lot of help. Under Julie's direction, walls and ceilings were painted first which made a big difference. She kept budget in mind by keeping several pieces of furniture that I already had and updating others. For my dining room set, she recovered the seat cushions with fabric to go with the new paint colors and added a bench to one side to allow more walking room. She kept a book with all the ideas and plans for my place which was so helpful. She spent a lot of time to go over ideas with me and kept looking until she found what worked. Her contractors and vendors are all wonderful - she is very particular in that regard. I love the pieces she chose for my house and the overall design. She has completely changed the look of my house. It finally feels like home. There are so many rooms to show that I need to upload some before and after pictures soon so you can see for yourself what an amazing job she did for me. I strongly suggest stopping by her store in Ashburn, VA. It's a treat just to walk around all the rooms and check out the furnishings and accessories. Plus you can meet Julie and her staff while you're there. You will love it!”

“Donna is a brilliant interior designer. She took the time to get to know me as a person and "get my vibe". We discussed, in general terms, the style I was after, and the budget I had (and mine was pretty limited). I spent only 7 hours with her and with that was able to beautifully decorate a 2 bedroom apartment. She looked at every room and had many suggestions to make, each one enhancing the design and beauty of the decor. We went online and looked at furniture, and her suggestions were right on. She had incredible insights into color, line, style, placement, and overall "feel" of the room. She was a joy to work with and was able to provide the kind of "value added" that I couldn't have done on my own. I highly recommend Donna's services.”
