“Mitch is good at all aspects of a project. He is good with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile work, and problem solving. He has a rare artistic talent that makes a good project great. He transformed our 30 year old bathroom and made it stunning. He is also a master brick mason and can design and lay tile on a front porch or sun room. I found them at a home expo in the mall and recognized the cabinets, they got us the cabinets we wanted with the fronts we wanted and all the add ons and we were able to do another room for less than the original estimate. We used them again for our basement and had great results again.”

“This is the second renovation I've used Michael and Karen for. Each time they were willing to think outside the box and then the trends caught up with us. For example, 16 years ago and long before concrete counter tops were common, Michael was willing to investigate, have fabricated and then install them in a swanky renovation he did and they still look great today (although I sold the home). Next house, when I wanted the barn door look to separate rooms and horizontal tongue in groove accents on walls, etc (again 5 years before they became more common), Michael made it happen. And they look just as good today as they did when he renovated. Bravo!”

I called them back for the other projects because their work was excellent. They were always at the job when they said they would be. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. “We own a 1970s ranch that has good "bones", but other than our renovations, has only had minor cosmetic upgrades by a previous owner. Highland Design Gallery took the measure of our space, a cramped Master Bath/Closet suite, and worked up 3 different renovation designs with 3 different price points. Once we made our choice, specified our hardware, chose cabinetry (they have several beautiful lines to choose from) and our fixtures, we set a budget. We sourced our Kohler toilet because we found a complete "set" elsewhere that saved money, and they had no problem with that. The bathroom was gutted, reconfigured and then built out as a new space. Of course there were a few adjustments that had to be made--all jobs have these--but their response was professional, and the issues were resolved. The small crew were pleasant to have in my home, the quality of work was excellent. I would recommend Robin and Todd Swarts and Highland Design Gallery.”
