“Greg did a major renovation on my 1974 ranch house. He was fantastic. The work was top notch--careful, intelligent, clean. When he thought something could be done more economically, he told me. He's SMART and thoughtful and also he's got great taste. I trusted his sensibilities. He was also easy to LIVE with, which is, essentially, what happens during a home renovation. He's just a lovely person.”

“I have used Lewis Creek for a couple of projects. The first was some interior remodeling including a bathroom and front foyer and flooring for both (tile). They also subcontracted to an excellent wood floorer and recommended an excellent roofer. The second job was front and back porch installations. With both, work was timely and within projected estimates. The quality of the work was exemplary, and filled with suggestions regarding aesthethics and best choice of materials. This company has so much to offer, personable, pleasant people to work with, solid business ethics, with an eye to green if requested, detailed explanations and education if I asked. I will (and plan to to build a sauna ) hire them again.”

“We hired Gulfield Contracting to repair several rooms in our home. The house had multiple areas that needed repair to the ceiling and walls. We had a plumbing issue that required cutting holes in our living room, bathroom and bedroom. Gulfield Contracting came to our rescue!! They did an outstanding job! The quality of their work was exceptional. They were extremely careful not to get the spackling or sanding dust on our existing carpet. I wish I had taken pictures of before and after the repairs because when they finished the job you would not know that our walls were torn apart!! I would highly recommend them.”

“Completely renovated our log cabin. They came in and demo'd it. Removing the drop down ceiling, making the whole log cabin 1 big gathering room (the lodge) with cathedral ceiling. They moved the stairs leading to unfinished basement (now finished), replaced all the windows in the log cabin, new ash flooring, new kitchen cupboards,added kitchen island, and countertops, notched out logs to fit new appliances. Also finished basement with new bedroom, laundry room, family room, bathroom and my favorite, "a craft room" from what used to be a "cluttered hall". Also added slider walk out door to patio area and outside shower. I have pictures from beginning to now, but don't have them on my work computer, can supply from my "patti.lou.who@hotmail.com" account upon request.”

“It was a pleasure working with Warren Uzzle who completed a front porch project on my home in Warren, VT. When I initially spoke with Warren about my project, he told me that he would be down that afternoon - and he arrived early. I provided Warren with an overview of the issues (that he also saw). He asked a number of questions, and then proceeded to describe possible options to rectify the problems. Warren brought along a photo album of projects he had worked on over the years from building entire homes to smaller home projects. I decided to hire Warren and the project was completed on time and within budget. Warren kept me informed throughout the project and discussed any unforeseen issues with me along with possible solutions. Warren has an eye for perfection. He works to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction, keeps his word, and is a very trustworthy and honest man. Warren and I are in the process of planning our next project with includes the replacement of windows on my home. He is a master craftsman who won't disappoint you.”

“My wife and I built our dream home in Stowe, Vermont. Our relationship with Travis Cutler a partner at Donald Blake was most enjoyable, considering the size of this undertaking. We established a fixed price at the out set and knew any extras would be an additional cost. My wife who is an interior designer and who designed the whole house was very efficient and made sure all details would be submitted on time. So from the original estimation of 19 months the house was completed in 16 months. Our architect Cushman Design Group did not need to supervise, since he had complete confidence in the builders capabilities. All the crew were very professional and they took great pride in their work and it showed in the finish product. We would highly recommend Donald Blake Jr. for any future building projects. In this particular project there was a lot of coordination with subcontractors. Joy kept them all on task and schedule and made sure we were happy with the results.
