“We wanted a modern house that was spectacular, but also comfortable to live in. We were working with a 27' wide urban lot, which already had a 1926 vintage home on it-not really a blank slate. Through a collaborative process with architect Peter Marzinsky and his designer, Meredith Ellacott, we believe we have achieved our goals. Peter and Meredith were respectful of our taste, needs and budget, and brought all of their creative energy to the project. Our friends and neighbours say 'wow', 'spectacular', 'amazing' and we enjoy living in this work of art every day.”

“I hired William Dewson Architects to design a summer cottage in Georgian Bay on a 5 acre island. Our first challenge was to figure out the site plan and where to put the cottage given numerous zoning restrictions and other natural fators. Bill and his team were great to work with throughout the whole process of defining the best site and then brainstorming the design that best suited our family asthetic. Bill's charismatic enthusiasm made our meetings fun and creative, we were all very happy with the end result and thoroughly enjoyed the design experience from start to finish.”

“I hired Gabriele and his company, Geometra Design in June 2012 to design a 3,500 square foot, 2 storey home that I will be building in south Etobicoke. Gabriele was able to complete concept design, committee of adjustment application and meeting, building permit design and application in less then 5 months. He was able to accomodate all aspects of the building permit requirements, including mechanical engineer, structural engineer and final renderings. His professionism and approach to the project, including deadlines was unsurpassed. He was able to facilitate all my needs, from design to building permit application (which in Toronto in not easy). His knowledge of the new digital building permit application requirements, made my application process very easy. I was told at the City of Toronto building department that most people do not have all the documents in the required format, but my application was perfect. I am very pleased with his work ethic and ability to respond to all requests. He was very easy to work with and I would recommend Gabriele and his company to anyone who is looking for a knowledgable architect, who can take any project from start to finish with ease. He was very knowledeable and using my sketches drew up working plans to help us navigate the complexities of the building code, and produced a great design with which to obtain building quotes etc. He helped us realize the vision we had for our home and we would definitely recommend hiring him! “Our beautifully renovated second floor never would have happened without Zuzanna of Studio Z Design. I think the most important skill she brought to the project for us was how she guided us through a decision making process that was logical, well-paced and timely. Her excellent drawings showing alternative designs and looks supported that decision making. She managed the tendering professionally, and helped us reconsider some features when estimates came in somewhat higher than we were hoping. During the construction phase, we had the peace of mind knowing that Zuzanna was there to mediate any issues that might arise with the contractor. None did. I would highly recommend her services.”

“Started to work with this firm earlier 2017 on a 3rd floor addition project for a century old heritage home in Toronto. The experience so far has been great! The chief architect demonstrated in-depth knowledge in building code/zoning/building process/heritage constraints etc., which resulted in a smooth consultation/design/drawing processes. The lady in charge of the coordination and communication has excellent communication skills, and has always been quick to respond to our inquiries and address our concerns. The heritage committee had some special requirements on our initial drawing, and Bananarch came back with some smart ideas and got final approval from the city. Highly recommend! Bottom line is, if you want to hire a desgin/build firm whom you can trust, and who can take you through from A to B, then this is it.”
