“Michael does a great job of listening to what you want and then translating that into a plan. He has a great eye and understands from a practical standpoint how people will flow through a space. While MIchael's tastes are on the modern side, my taste is more "transitional" and Michael has been able to do a great job of taking my preferences and making them work. Having said that, he has a great eye, and I almost take his recommendations and have been happy I did. MIchael is very responsive and will take all the time needed to revise a plan so that every detail is accounted for. In my almost 10 years post renovation, I have recommended Michael to 5 sets of friends who hired him and they have all been very happy with the results and have gone on to recommend him as well. "We met Keri as we were planning a kitchen renovation, screened-in porch addition and front porch portico addition which would require a variance from the local zoning board. “Light House Design was the architecture firm I hired for a major house renovation involving knocking down interior walls, adding a four season porch, moving a bathroom, adding a deck and front entryway, as well as new windows, roof, exterior siding, and electrical system. (i) She did a total gut re-design of my office, creating a lovely, light, well-configured space accessorized with the perfect furniture and curtains that provided privacy without blocking light. (ii) When I moved, Shelly designed my new office, in a smaller space and an unforgiving location, again to spectacular effect. Everyone who enters, including my colleagues, says "what a wonderful office". Essential features were somehow included in a light, open space. (iii) My move also placed me on a wide, empty airport-like corridor. I asked Shelly to help create a friendly space, which she did.
