“QMA Design did a major exterior renovation on our house which included new siding, doors, windows, chimney, steps, porch as well as addition of a second story terrace, complete renovation of the front of house to create additional parking space and new landscaped areas. Todd and his project managers and workers did a beautiful job. After the job and to date Todd is extremely responsive if problems develop (and no major problems have developed) or if other new work is needed. I highly recommend this company.”

“We worked with Tim Kerner on our full house renovation in downtown Philadelphia in 2009. He is very meticulous, thorough and thoughtful in his approach. He does not rush through decisions or projects. He communicated well with our general contractor. Also, when it came time to make decisions about lighting fixtures and other hardware around the house, he sent me some links online of ideas to choose from, to make the process less overwhelming. I found this extremely helpful. Tim is patient and easy to work with and I would hire him again for another project, or recommend him to anyone. I cannot speak to his rates because we did not get other estimates (as he also worked on a family member's project, so we knew we wanted to work with him). We are thrilled the way our house turned out.”

“We highly recommend EMK Designs. We met EMK/Erik after many meetings with potential contractors and designers. Most gave us the impression that our dream beach home would be based on their ideas, but Erik actually listened. He then took our ideas, needs/wants and sketches and transformed them into *our* blueprint--one that we could use for bid, to guide the construction process, and keep us within budget. Ours was a complete reno utilizing the foundation as a footprint. Erik used that existing framework to create a stunning yet economically practical design. Not all designers stay actively involved during construction, but Erik did--beyond his contracted follow-up. Early on he caught a significant contractor framing error which he corrected directly with the site contact. He even got involved with design ideas beyond his scope of work and provided great suggestions all in keeping with our style. We feel our investment with EMK Designs was money well spent and saved us money overall. (Too) many times the contractor would attempt to negotiate line items that fortunately for us, EMK had detailed clearly in our plan. Anyone considering a construction project should not skip this critical planning step, particularly if you want your requirements heard and included in the construction of your home.”

Bruce did not stop his efforts with the architectural design, he helped with planning, explaining the construction process and what to expect from our builder.
