“Working with Ben Robbins (and the entire team at Pillar & Perch) has truly been a wonderful experience. Throughout our project to design and build a new home for us, they have consistently been knowledgeable, professional, and are a pleasure to work with. After listening to what we wanted and looking at our lot, Ben’s first design was nearly spot on (we only tweaked a few very minor things). That was impressive! Then, throughout the build process, they have gone out of their way to please us and ensure that we’re happy. Ben is very responsive and keeps us informed as to what is going on, and has even found us some ways to save money without sacrificing from the architectural integrity of the project. I highly recommend this company, and would use them again in a heartbeat.”

“We met with Ileana to discuss possible renovation ideas to our 1960s house to open up the space and to re-think our upstairs bathrooms. She designed the project in a way that allowed us to consider the two pieces (upstairs and downstairs) both separately and together. We originally thought we would focus on the upstairs initially, but we were so happy with the redesigned first floor that we ended up deciding to tackle this project first. We contracted with a local company to do the work, and they have had no problems following Ileana's architectural drawings.”

They patiently worked with us in designing a new layout for all rooms and gave great insights and fresh design ideas for the new look we were after! They went above and beyond our expectations and delivered us a new kitchen that we absolutely love and bathrooms that are reconfigured and designed beautifully. They were so easy to work with and we could tell that it was extremely important to them that we were happy with the design and the process as we moved toward project completion. “We have used Claude C. Lapp for architectural plans for updates and additions to our 1931 "Cotswold" cottage three times. He has also done work for other family members and friends. He is very intuitive and maintains the proper period or style of the house while making it functional and aesthetically pleasing. He is very gifted and we wouldn't hesitate to refer him to anyone interested in making their existing home more functional or enjoyable or for drawing plans for a new build.”

“James was the third architect we interviewed when we made a decision to build our dream home. After meeting him we cancelled all the rest. I am a real estate professional and I have come across some great works of art in the form of houses and have met their creators. What impressed me about James McDonald was his ability to listen carefully and understand our needs, It's like we told him our dream and he put it on paper even better than we had dreamt it. Throughout the building process he was available and willing to make any changes big or small, if practically possible. We trusted him completely and he never let us down. He has the highest work ethics and a stellar team to help him through extremely busy periods too. “I have been working with Donald Lococo Architects for the past two years on a large residential project in Alexandria, Virginia. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Donald and his staff. The house is a fabulous hybrid: traditional front facade contrasted with a thoroughly modern section in the back. The house is nearing completion...seeing this space come together - full of glass, light and dramatic open spaces - has been wonderful to watch. Five star design...five star firm!”
