I had a pretty clear idea of the layout of our new house but needed help deciding on a contractor to hire as well as some creative structural details to make our 1800 sq. ft. single level home work for us as we age without looking like an "old folks home". Haven Design was instrumental in helping us select a contractor and we have been very pleased with the results.”

“Pearl Schaar and David Pelletier provided us with a great experience from the initial top-level planning through the engineering review of our 4000+sq. ft. waterfront home on Camano Island. We worked together as a team, sometimes through a careful and deliberate process, other times through brainstorming and thinking out of the box to accomplish our end goals for our home. They guided and took direction from us as well. In retrospect, I believe the primary impact they had in providing the house we wanted was the education they provided regarding natural materials and flow. We learned and gained in the process.”

“We first consulted Curt when we were trying to solve a problem with plans for an addition to our home. He efficiently resolved that issue after asking and listening effectively regarding what we were trying to accomplish. In later years we had him design an extensive master bath remodel and then a major whole-home remodel. He and his team are excellent on both straightforward and higher-end building solutions and their attention to both the bigger space issues and the fit-and-finish details are outstanding. “When we decided to do a major renovation/reconstruction of our home we had nothing more than an abstract idea of what we wanted and the process seemed extremely daunting. We had heard wonderful things about Dave from friends, whose home is spectacular, and decided to contact Dave. Dave really listened to us and asked questions that clearly showed he was paying attention to our needs. He took our very abstract idea for our home and proposed inventive design solutions that we would never have imagined. Throughout the design and construction process Dave was extremely responsive, delivering drawings when promised and holding true to his commitments to us. More importantly he was respectful of our questions and immediately addressed any concerns that we might have had. Dave was always mindful of our limited budget, balancing our wish list against what the budget would allow. She took time to discuss our needs and wants; as well as discover our design preferences - all while working within the scale and lines of our existing home. Jen took that information and came back with three unique approaches. We selected one and refined it as a team. She had excellent ideas regarding room sizes and placement. Now that our addition has been built, we can’t imagine our home without it. It looks as if it was always there. We highly recommend Jen Jones and her work.”
