“Our extraordinary custom home, designed and reconstructed by October 5 Fine Home Builders is undeniably a work of art. October 5 offers superior design and execution, where form and function converge. Ryan, the project superintendent, attends to every detail with an eye for quality and perfection. Their open-floor plan design blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, light abounds in every room, yet the space remains purposely private and intimate. Originally constructed in 1953, our home had not undergone any remodeling or updating. During construction, the house was all but demolished - leaving only the rough framing and portions of the exterior stucco and siding. Earthquake updates, 200 amp electrical service, beefed-up insulation, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning, smooth drywall, wide-plank flooring, bathrooms, kitchen, and dual-glazed windows supported the bulk of the project, which lasted 4 ½ months. With clean contemporary lines, the modern floor plan, great for entertaining, offers a celebrated life-style. What a beautiful and relaxing way to enjoy life! “Dustin and Alex are passionate about what they do and their enthusiasm is contagious. They were incredibly professional and went above and beyond to create a layout that would suit our growing families needs while working within our budget. They redesigned our kitchen, family room and outdoor entertainment area. We plan to do the renovation in stages and they came up with a plan to tackle each phase. We have completed phase one which entailed knocking out our existing fire place that divided our kitchen and family room. We now have an open planned kitchen and living room that has completely transformed our space. We will be renovating our kitchen and entertainment area later on this year and feel confident in all elements of the redesign with direction from Eyoh Design. We look forward to working with them in the future.”

“I highly recommend Studio 6 Architects both from a professional and a personal point of view. As an interior designer, I have worked with Studio 6 on many projects from concept to completion. Rob & Brian's designs are well thought out, beautiful and meets the client's needs. They are professional and easy to work with. Unlike other architects who may create plans and that is the end of it, Rob & Brian are involved throughout the entire project. They are also very good at create a design to meet the client's budgetary restraints. As a homeowner, my husband and I hired Studio 6 to design our dream home for us. What impressed me most was how much they really listened to us. They incorporated everything from the big things like room locations to the little things like the overall "feel" we were trying to achieve. Also, Rob & Brian did a phenomenal job of adding interest to every area of the home, both inside and out. Interesting repeating arches in the hallways, a large niche under the covered loggia, an exterior that looks wonderful from all four sides. In my opinion, this is what mades a good architecture firm. I whole-heartedly recommend Studio 6 Architects.”

“Jim did a great job walking us through the design process and then executed as promised. We had preliminary sketches to review within a week and had preliminary CAD drawings shortly after. Jim also took care of the drawing reviews and permitting process with the city. When he was done all we had to do was select a contractor and we were on our way. We highly recommend using Jim. He is Honest, hard working and in addition to getting us through the permit process, he helped with construction support to address unanticipated issues that came up in the middle of construction. Excellent Architect!”

“Paul helped me with a remodeling project on my Dana Point rental home. We ran into some difficult issues in dealing with the planning and building department. Paul is a very experienced architect who knows the building codes very well. We got the permits and his architectural designs were great! I would definitely use Paul again.”

She took the time to truly understand what we wanted and made our vision a reality. From beginning until the end, she has been very professional, responsive, proactive, and being able to come up with multiple solutions to simple and complex problems we encountered during construction. Their design elements are so elegant and well matched with our concept that exceeded my expectations in many ways. Also, they did all those within the budget requirements. They were flexible in all the areas we worked. She made everything so easy and smooth. I do not even want to imagine what would happen if we have taken another route instead of working with her.”
