“Laura Hicks was a joy to work with. We have never used an architect before but decided to because we wanted a quality remodel for our outdated 1980’s ranch house. We were impressed by Laura’s professionalism, her work was excellent, her support when we were overwhelmed by design elements choices, her ability to identify our taste even when we could not articulate it. She listened to us and helped us make difficult decisions by asking us questions about what we didn’t like in the existing house. She was also honest about the prohibitive cost of some of our ideas and suggested more practical solutions. Her suggestions saved us more money than she charged us which was reasonable. Hiring her was the best decision we made. We love our house. The fact that she made the process go smoothly and timely convinced our contractors of the value of having clients work with an architect especially one like her who understands the complications of remodeling older houses. I would recommend her without any hesitation.”
