“Heidi was amazing from the beginning. She met with me first to understand what I was looking for in the addition. When she came to our house to measure, she was very professional but could see already things that I had not thought about in the addition. She submitted the plans to the review board and then came with me to the meeting. The board had a change that they wanted and she made that immediately. I was impressed with how well she merged the plan for the addition with the existing house. It was hard to tell that it was an addition. While she was making the changes, my son asked for a window in the mudroom and she gladly did this. I am so pleased with what she designed for us. Not only did it meet our needs of having more than one bathroom in the house, but she gave us storage that we greatly needed. Our addition included a mudroom with a half bath, a master bath and turning my closet into a walk in closet. My neighbors and friends have commented that you cannot tell there is an addition because it blends so well with the original house inside and out. I found Heidi very easy to work with as she was approachable and very considerate about listening to my family's needs. She is a true professional and I would recommend her services to anyone needing an architect.”

“Our house was built in 1936. As with most older homes in this neighborhood, ours was admired for its charming interior design, original trim, plaster walls and leaded glass windows. But the house is relatively small (1,850 sq ft) and the kitchen, though remodeled once by us, was still small and uninviting. We decided to upgrade it one more time and then realized that if this was to be our last shot at getting it right, we should spend the money and the time to have an expert give us his thoughts. We hired Dean Wenz. His first question: are you willing to entertain some more dramatic changes to the space to achieve your goals. Gulp. Sure. The results were more than we could have hoped for. What we once joked was a "two butt" kitchen - as in, my wife and I kept bumping into each other - became a spacious and beautiful kitchen that remained true to the house's classic look. Dean was a delight to work with. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional and sensitive to our cost concerns.* We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.”

“I am an interior designer who hired Richard Nevil to design the house included in his profile under the name "Hayes Residence" in Kiawah Island, SC. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Richard and found him to be attentive to both the particular design and scheduling specifications that were requirements for this project. It was not an easy house to design because it had to be incorporated among 5 very large Live Oak trees and, as an interior designer with a trove of furniture and art to be included in the house, I had my own very particular ideas for the house. Additionally, we were under a very tight schedule for the design and build and Richard was able to guide the process appropriately such that we received approval from the Architectural Review Board in a record 63 days. Richard works very hard top deliver the homes that his clients dream about and he does so with great patience, care and humor! I whole heartedly recommend him and am happy to say that we remain friends many years later.”
