“Alethea is amazing! She was an integral part of the team when we remodeled our entire basement, renovated our kitchen and added a large porch in the front of our home. She was the key person to help select all of the interior selections and after the work was completed, assisted in the interior furnishings as well. We did a second project with her as well. We added a laundry room that is the envy of my neighborhood. She designed and drew up all of the plans and worked well with all of the subs. Many friends have seen her work in my home and have hired her as well- both to help in structural changes as well as interior work. They all have been happy. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is true to her word, very organized and keeps you informed throughout the project. These are rare qualities. I am happy to talk with anyone who has any questions. Thanks!”

“I hired Hart's Design to design an addition to my home in Edina. This included a garage, workshop, master bath, roof deck, laundry/mudroom expansion. sunroom, and kitchen expansion. Admittedly, I am a very particular/difficult client. Generally, I am not satisfied with anyone I hire and usually consider it successful if the interaction does not end in the exchange of profanity. I know this about myself and tell people this prior to working with them. I have never offered to serve as a reference for any contractor or designer in the past. Robert was excellent. He took our ideas, added his expertise and brought it to life. He was responsive and timely and the rates were very reasonable. He delivered exactly what he said he would. I particularly liked that I could work with him to create a design/blueprints that we liked. I was then able to take these detailed plans and get bids from a number of contractors rather than being tied to a single design/build firm. This was some of the best money we spent on our addition. I would recommend Hart's Design without reservation.”

“Leigh worked with me when I moved from an antique colonial cape to a large center chimney Federal circa 1780. He drew up a design to finish out some required work on the cape for stairs and cabinets. When I bought the Federal he walked through the home and prepared a plan of attack for making the house more livable for the twenty-first century without destroying the beauty and authentic character of the home. Leigh is able to design for many styles of home in a way that brings out the best of the existing building while providing for the needs of a modern home owner. His work is done professionally and timely. I would not hesitate to work with him again.”

He listened to us about the kind of home we wanted and was able to translate that into a space that is both pleasing to look at and will fit our needs as we enter our retirement years. “Chad Haller and the rest of the 10K Architecture team did an incredible job designing our basement and master bathroom. We live in a typical 1.5 story house in Southwest Minneapolis and we chose to invest in quality design to improve our smaller space instead of increasing the footprint of our home. Prior to working with 10K, we had concepts from contractors and design build firms, but most were simple, boxy designs that didn’t inspire us enough to begin the projects. Our neighbors, who probably have the most impressive basement on the block after working with Chad and 10K Architecture, recommended we talk to them and we were impressed right away. They patiently listened to our needs, picked up on our style preferences by observing our home and talking with us, and they came up with great layouts with elegant and clever design elements for both spaces.”
