If you're doing a remodel, addition or building from scratch YOU NEED TO HIRE Jon. You honestly can't afford to not get him involved- FROM THE BEGINNING. I wish wish wish I would have met Jon way earlier in my own project, but luckily I found him in time to avoid (some) major consequences of my contractor trying to pull a bunch of fast ones on me. Jon has become an advocate, teacher, and creative problem-solver that I completely and totally trust. He is filled with integrity, knowledge, and talent. If I could re-do my home addition journey I would have asked John to draft the architectural plans, source all the materials, and manage the entire project. The reasons are: - He has a passion for using people and planet-friendly materials that ensure you're NOT putting things in your home that are harmful to health, are less toxic to the environment to create and dispose of, and have a better ROI over time. - He's a licensed architect - licensed being the key word here - you should always make sure you (or your general contractor) hires a licensed architect NOT just a draftsman. Why? It means you have a way to hold the architect accountable should they (or your GC) make poor choices or not give a $@*! about your project (can you tell I speak from experience?) - He understands code/regulations and how materials will and won't work properly based on how they are installed. This ensures the work is done right, the first time, and you can TRUST your drawings throughout the entire process (again, learning via experience) - He knows the proper order of operations and could manage the project from inspiration and visioning to final finishes I highly recommend hiring Jon and Architectural Design Group to help bring your dream space to life!!!

Jon Huffmaster with Architectural Design Group did an excellent job of collaborating with us to design and create detailed construction documents for our house projects including a technically challenging conversion of a recreation room to a garage space with extended "growing green roof", conversion of two bedrooms and small bathroom into a primary bedroom/bathroom/laundry suite, and other conceptual projects. He is thorough, understands technology and building practices, and is aware of sustainability issues. He was very responsive and quick to complete his excellent work. I suspect we only tapped a small portion of his skills and experience in architecture.

My husband and I are working with Jon to design our forever home. We are about 90 percent through design development. Jon has been great throughout the process. I really feel like we’re a team and he’s been able to develop our ideas into a home that fulfills all our needs and embodies our values and aesthetics. We want a home that is healthy and functional but not oversized. Jon is very knowledgeable about healthy building materials and was able to design within our principles and I feel we have everything we need and more. The design is efficient and every inch is intentional. I am so happy with our plan so far and highly recommend Jon. He’s professional, creative, and incredibly detail-oriented.
