“The company has acted already for us on two major refurbishment projects completed at just under £500000 cost in the last three years and are now giving us advice on two other larger flagship properties we own to convert commercial space into residential where we as a private fund own a portfolio of property We have found them very responsive and have always given us very good advice along with project management and design in often complicated situations They helped us enormously in obtaining listed building consent and other planning uses for alterations on two of our buildings despite one, very difficult Council They have also suggested and appointed contractors for us and supervised them We have too found their fees reasonable and competitive so we have only very good recommendations to make about the company”

“The brief was to remodel our 1920s semi into a large modern family home. Tom understood our requirements really well and we couldn't be more pleased with the space he designed - a wrap-around extension; 2-storey to the side and 1-storey on the back. In particular, he was able to accommodate our changing ideas comfortably and gave excellent advice on design features, without the end result looking too 'design-y'. We would recommend him without hesitation.”

She brought a highly structured approach to the process and good insights, imagination and flexibility to the development of the design. She was able to give a good steer through the various planning process hoops with an ultimately successful outcome - that despite the best efforts of the planners. “I cannot recommend Dennis Hellyar architects highly enough. This was a bereft and unloved property in poor condition in need of considerable attention. DHA reviewed, and saw potential with an imaginative, bold scheme (perhaps too bold for some). Their enthusiasm and imagination carried all before it, and now we are the proud owners of an exciting and remarkable space at the heart of the city. Being new to renovations, we were heavily reliant on the team put together by DHA and I now believe our confidence in them was well placed. DHA was the fulcrum of the team, keeping a weather eye on progress, quality and costs. Above all their attention to detail proved the key to a quality result. The firm has an enormous wealth of experience covering domestic and commercial work and it was evident this was brought to bear in the job. In particular, DHA went the extra mile to make this work.”

Their questions and suggestions were very good. The drawings, right through to the Building Regulation drawings and electrical requirements, were excellent and covered every aspect of the changes. We are very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them to others wanting plans etc. done for any work they have planned. .”
