“Alethea is amazing! She was an integral part of the team when we remodeled our entire basement, renovated our kitchen and added a large porch in the front of our home. She was the key person to help select all of the interior selections and after the work was completed, assisted in the interior furnishings as well. We did a second project with her as well. We added a laundry room that is the envy of my neighborhood. She designed and drew up all of the plans and worked well with all of the subs. Many friends have seen her work in my home and have hired her as well- both to help in structural changes as well as interior work. They all have been happy. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is true to her word, very organized and keeps you informed throughout the project. These are rare qualities. I am happy to talk with anyone who has any questions. Thanks!”

“We have worked with Jodi on two occasions, The first was an extensive remodel of our loft open area: kitchen, living, dining, entry and patio. Several years later we Jodi worked with us on a total redo of our master bed, bath, and closet. We have also seen some of Jodi's projects and are amazed at how unique each one is. Jodi spent time with us to get to know our "style" and worked closely with us during the project. I especially appreciate the way that she distills our wish-list to several options to choose from in both designs and finishes. We have learned to trust her vision. One example of this is the Ingo Maurer "schilitz" light hanging over our dining table. We weren't totally sold on it at first but it is now one of our favorite pieces. “I hired Hart's Design to design an addition to my home in Edina. This included a garage, workshop, master bath, roof deck, laundry/mudroom expansion. sunroom, and kitchen expansion. Admittedly, I am a very particular/difficult client. Generally, I am not satisfied with anyone I hire and usually consider it successful if the interaction does not end in the exchange of profanity. I know this about myself and tell people this prior to working with them. I have never offered to serve as a reference for any contractor or designer in the past. Robert was excellent. He took our ideas, added his expertise and brought it to life. He was responsive and timely and the rates were very reasonable. He delivered exactly what he said he would. I particularly liked that I could work with him to create a design/blueprints that we liked. I was then able to take these detailed plans and get bids from a number of contractors rather than being tied to a single design/build firm. This was some of the best money we spent on our addition. I would recommend Hart's Design without reservation.”
