“Vanessa is amazing! So much so that I've given her the nickname "Sydney's Best", abbreviated from "Sydney's Best Architect". We have undertaken 2 renovations and Vanessa was the architect on both occasions. In fact, we delayed our 2nd renovation to coincide with her return to Australia so she could be on-site for the job. Vanessa has a relaxed and friendly manner that belies her expertise and talent. Whilst her ideas and recommendations are outstanding, Vanessa's great strength is her ability to listen to and understand what we were hoping to achieve and then to make it happen. Twelve months on from completion and we continue to be blown away with how happy we are with Vanessa's design. We love the home that Vanessa has designed for us and truly couldn't be happier. The wonderful thing is that it isn't just a home for adults or a home for kids. Vanessa has designed a home that is to be lived in and everyone living in the house loves it. The design takes in so many considerations - it's a home for entertaining and a home for living; it accommodates people having their own spaces but also areas for people to interact; the space is utilised extremely well with the roof and under deck areas utilised to create maximum storage and an additional room. The design is very clever. Additionally, Vanessa has a great approach to working with the builder and sub-contractors and whilst you often hear about builder / architect difficulties Vanessa's approach and way of working with people ensures a happy and positive outcome for all parties. We are now looking at developing some apartments and wouldn't think of using anyone else. In fact, we can't wait to work with Vanessa again. Great person. Wonderful architect.”

“Brent from Eight Six Design was the architect that created our fantastic new house. Its a single story 4 bedroom, cladded, colour bond roof with above ground concrete pool, wide entrance hall and lots of deck He did a wonderfull job and was always eager to help with any changes and worked well with the all the trades as required. His design has had many people asking us about him and we have referred new cutomers already. We had very little trouble with a build that had to be 1.5 meters off ground level and could have been very difficult, Brents ability to see potential faults and deal with council and certifiers made our project run like a well oiled machine. I can't thank him enough and would reccomend Eight Six Design very highly.”

Utz Sanby have a high level of knowledge and experience when it comes to building a house which is comfortable, works with the environment and that just makes sense. Our home at Whale Beach turned out exactly as planned, within budget and with no compromises. It elicits admiring looks and photographs from people walking past every day. CAD 3 D drawings and multiple designs and models were provided in the design phase which made our decisions very easy to understand. I did not ever feel that he was pushing me into creating a trophy house for his portfolio but rather a home that suited our family in every way. The work included reconfiguration of bedrooms and bathroom, 2nd and 3rd floor extensions and a new outdoor cabana. His design was intuitive and respectful to the existing structure. He was very responsive to our ideas and offered timely and creative solutions. His knowledge of planning requirements was extensive and his communications with council timely and effective.
