“Distinct Building Design (DBD) were one of two companies we contacted to design our new home. We selected them on the basis that they fully understood our requirements for a two-storey, 3-bedroom home which left plenty of room for a back garden. They submitted an initial design which, by and large, is the home we ended up with. The other company, for whatever reason, couldn't/wouldn't do this, insisting on 4 bedrooms, with bedrooms on the ground floor and living upstairs.
DBD recommended bathroom and kitchen designers as well as suppliers of tiles and all other hardware as the build progressed. They were very pro-active, with the design, during the construction period.
The result was a wonderful home that we are extremely pleased with and would be happy to recommend DBD to other prospective users.”

“We bought a total dump of a terrace which had serious structural and aesthetic issues. We hired Palaestra to help us reconfigure the building to make the most of the spaces, increase the light while keeping the cost low.
Palaestra solved the puzzle of using the space as well as possible. We have a truly brilliant new stair configuration. They designed really great rooms and had real sensitivity to our rather serious budget constraints. Unlike a number of the people we hired on the job, Palaestra really got that we couldn't afford the best or most beautiful finishes but always come up with a good looking alternative.

Luke's architectural abilities and holistic approach combine sustainable, practical concepts that look AMAZING. He is highly organised, trendy, ensures he fully comprehends the client's brief and produces designs that have an edge...a real Wow factor.
We had a sloping block of land with a long list of requirements (budget, time, eco friendly, low maintenance, compliance to Vastu i.e an ancient Indian construction science considered by many as the precursor to Feng Shui, and many more). We also had some covenants and restrictions on the land.
Luke delivered on all fronts by striking a beautiful balance of all elements.
He also had a great network of consultants required for the plethora of reports needed for the Council Development Application and a huge help to get these organised.
