Kay was such a delight to work with in redesigning my kitchen, living area and two bathrooms. She was professional and detailed. She listened to my desires, gave her ideas, and even redesigned when I changed my mind.

Out of the hundreds of decisions involved in the construction and design of our new home, hiring Kay was without doubt the smartest decision we made. When we decided to build, my husband and I each had very distinct visions of what our interior would look like. We were at an impasse and had to call in a professional. I was familiar with Kay’s reputation and work ethic, so I hoped she could help, but at the time I didn’t realize just how gifted she is in her profession. Kay took on what seemed an impossible task, and she created the most beautiful, inspiring, functional home. It is absolutely perfect for our family! During our initial meeting and the walk-through, she paid close attention to what we were looking for and noted keywords relative to our personal style. We wanted some custom upgrades to the kitchen and design assistance in our key living spaces. The choices she presented showed that she thoroughly internalized what we were looking for. Kay was able to capture our family's personality and reflect that in the design and decor of our home. And she incorporated color into the space in ways that we never would have been able to do ourselves. Once Kay got involved, I couldn’t believe how easy the process became. Her project management skills are as strong as her interior design instinct. We had never worked with a designer before and didn’t know protocol, but she guided us and kept us informed along the way. She was so organized and had such command over the scope of the project that we didn’t have to worry about the details. She put us at ease and made our individual preferences her top priority. The end product was so far beyond our expectations! We love being in our home. I still wander around, appreciating the colors and textures and little details. The more time I spend here, the more I appreciate what Kay did for us.

When I decided to remodel my family home of 40+ years, I knew I had a challenge ahead of me. It seemed that every decorative item held a thousand memories. The outdated, dark and cramped 1950's kitchen would have to go, and there were just too many choices to make. Given my repeated costly failures in searching for a bedroom wall color, it looked like the remodel was going to be really unpleasant. Luckily I remembered that when I worked in residential real estate, I had higher regard for agents and brokers who went beyond getting licensed and pursued professional designations. I went to the internet and familiarized myself with the organizations that promote the highest levels of professionalism in interior design. I read Kay's profile, emailed from the website, and asked for an appointment. I knew at our first meeting that I'd found the person who could help me get the project done right and under budget. Throughout the process, I felt like Kay kept my best interests front and center. She displayed the highest level of integrity, and her design skills blew me away. I told her I wanted to use my gorgeous trees as inspiration, and she led me towards a color palette that has made every room beautiful beyond my expectations. Her advice on furniture and furnishings were spot on. I could never have selected, purchased, delivered, and setup the items under budget without her help. Since we were gutting the kitchen, she suggested removing a breakfast bar and enlarging the windows, plus she located hardwoods under many layers of vinyl. Kay was exceptionally detail oriented. I can honestly say that there was not one decision that was left to chance or hastily made. She is highly focused, and kept the project going forward even when we hit a small bump or two. I expanded this home 15 years ago without a designer. My experiences and the many compliments that I continue to get on the recent remodel convince me that Kay's services were well worth the investment. I have recommended her to others who are also highly satisfied with her work, and will continue to do so.

It was very enjoyable and refreshing working with Kay. She listened to our dream plan and gave us more than what we expected. Her architect background was a plus as we had a very complicated "engineering" issue with walls and various ceiling heights. Her professionalism and expertise where a great help to us in selecting the right contractor and to keep everything on schedule and within budget. Her eye for details is a gift and a blessing. It was so easy to work with Kay in the selection of lighting and bathroom fixtures, furniture, etc. along with all the touches that now makes our home a peaceful place for family and friends to gather. Our friends are as over joyed as we are with the transformation and have requested to visit us often as they say "it is a welcoming, relaxing vacation retreat home". She is amazing and we couldn't be happier.

Kay was great to work with — honestly I was embarrassed because of my budget before speaking with Kay— but she made me feel excited about the things that I could do in my price range! She created a plan just like I imagined an interior designer would giving me options etc. The plan she gave me allows me to get the desired look and not purchase everything at once. I hope in Spring I can get her to help with another project!

I always enjoy working with Kay, she is very detailed and respects her clients. She listens to the clients ideas and formulates a plan based on her design background and professional knowledge. She knows how to accomplish great design by coordinating color, texture and material finishes.

Kay served as an excellent Interior advisor. I am a Market Manger for a large Dallas home builder. I have connections with several experienced and high end decorators. Which is why I started there, but became disappointed quickly. The decorating ideas were beautiful but all the same...Dallas model homes, pintrist, Houzz...(no offense:).Beautiful ideas but not centrally incorporating the items I love most in my home. That is when I called Kay at my sister's urging that she was really special. When I met Kay I was not sure how it was going to work out. She took little notes,shy, quite -just walked around each room with a smile on her face shaking her head saying "ok, ok, SHE HAD MY COLORS LOCKED IN HER HEAD from that one little walk! We layered textile, colors used all my favorite furniture, pictures and personnel items. What I spent on getting Kay was priceless for my return. I would encourage anyone needing to remodel, or redecorate is to, not go it alone!
