these materials and the depth of the deck seem good. I also think the wooden slated privacy wall at end might be nice - on the house side end giving the illusion of being isolated in the woods... don't know about overhang.. would block sunlight entering interior but would also give protection from too much sun on deck ????
As deck will be viewed from inside as well as outside it should be visually appealing. This is a simple deck that could be enhanced with wooden or decorative Spanish tile flooring, a more interesting railing and perhaps a narrow box along the railing for plants, drinks, feet to rest on - etc..... something that makes it special....
