Beth & Damon Getaway
ELO: uniquely integrated garage; contrasting exterior materials work to create a simple but dramatic look. D: generally okay but I don't like the shipping container vibe.
ELO: Nice garage; otherwise way too much house. D: better if it was detached. I like what they were going for here, but I think they missed the mark with the different cladding. A bit too hodgepodge.
ELO: windows! D: Indeed! Also, I like the roof overhang. I hope there's a little patio space out there.
ELO: Brings the natural cladding inside. D: same. I like the wood on floor and ceiling and integrated indoor and outdoor spaces
I like the poured concrete fireplace and floors with the wood paneling on walls and ceiling.
Plywood panel ceiling
I like this whole room. I particularly like the raised counter seating.
Plywood panel ceiling
Combined living and kitchen space with natural and modern materials.
I really like the counter areas, but cabinet finish color looks awkward. I don't like the black pendants. They tried to pull off sleek and it looks more like 80s retro.
Nice cabinets. The black cabinets wouldn't be my first choice.
sleek and simple. uncluttered. good colors and materials on the walls and counter. Not crazy crazy about the glossy cabinets.
ELO: it’s like the island existed first and everything else bows down to the island D: Bow to the island! Seriously, though, I love this.
I like the cabinets and walls. the slat ceiling is great, but too much wood with the wood floor. This would be better with a dark floor or polished concrete.
ELO: open plan kitchen, sleek, assertive contrast D: I don't like the contrasting woods. A solid color would have been better. A bit too sleek for me. It looks like a bachelor lives here.
I like the general sense of integrating indoor and outdoors, but maybe too exposed?
I like the combination of concrete floor, metal-framed small panes, and warm wood paneling. ELO: same; also great windows.
Cozy. I like the plank ceiling and the way it flows into the roof overhang.
Clean and simple warm wood tones.
Another good use of high windows to let in light and views without losing privacy. The style is maybe a bit too preppie.
I like this one overall. Integrated interior and deck. It blends with the surroundings
