Island Retreat
Colors of sand, taupe and cream, and water toned artwork are the backdrop for spectacular ocean views in this beautiful Maui retreat. The soothing interior design was put together in six months from an initial on-site meeting with the contractor to the final installation, which included dishes and accessories. The client's interest in marine biology influenced architectural details such as the marine life etched on each shower panel and hardware on the cabinetry. We selected the same flooring for the exterior and interior to bring the outdoors inside in a seamless manner. The soft contemporary furniture, along with island inspired accents created an inviting ambiance.
This project is a good example of how a long distance project can be brought to successful completion with good communication between the contractor, designer, and client.
